The risk benefit of the shot is not there. The drug never should have been EUA for young healthy people. But they scared people and told them at the same time the shot would keep you from getting Covid. Causing many (especially here) to ignorantly say people did not care about others because they did not take the shot. A shot that did not slow the spread.

And dying “with” Covid and “from” Covid are two different things. That is the type of propaganda that worked so well in the beginning. As Dr. Fraiman said…he has not hospitalized one patient “for” Covid since Feb of 2022 while he has hospitalized many “with” Covid in that time.

It was the CDC that recorded the historically high at-home deaths of 2020. It was the CDC that acknowledged that only a small percentage of those were ‘Covid’ deaths.

You and I are arguing from opposing viewpoints. You assume there was a uniquely pernicious pathogen and take for granted that such was largely responsible for the excess mortality.

I, on the other hand, see no more evidence for this virus than any other and I’m demonstrating how easy it is to account for excess mortality without reference to any virus.

In fact, it is so easy that some virus-believers agree with me …

Anyone vaccinating healthy kids is beyond dumb. Most of Europe isn't doing recommending it all to anyone healthy under 60. Somehow our Govt is pushing this for zero reason, which always raises red flags for me.

People blindly listening to our CDC after what they've done the last few years are simply lemmings.

Germany kicks off autumn COVID vaccine campaign targeting high-risk groups

"People from 60 years of age and at-risk groups should get vaccinated, the better even if an influenza shot can go with that," said health minister Karl Lauterbach, who is 60 and who got the new COVID shot himself on Monday.

With its choice to target only the elderly, at-risk or chronically ill people, residents of care homes, healthcare professionals and those in close contact with vulnerable people, Germany is broadly in line with other European countries, such as France, Italy or Britain.

Despite relatively lower death rates among young people, the covid death rate is far higher than either vaccine death rate or serious adverse event rate, i.e. reward outweighs the risk.

BTW, not that you mentioned him in your post, but Offit's argument against vaxxing young or healthy is based on their having been fully vaccinated. He's been arguing that they don't need additional vaccinations right now and vaxxing that subset would be a waste of resources, not that young/healthy shouldn't be vaxxed at all. He's also made it a point that vaccines are safe.

Even if true about Fraiman's experience, cases & deaths dropped considerably in Lousiana & nationwide after the omicron wave. Add to it that 62% of LA's pop is vaxxed (55% fully), it's going to follow that there will be far fewer hospitalizations. Other hand, in St Bernard's Parish where Fraiman seems to work, there were 103 covid new hospitalizations just last week.

    LOL a waste of resources!!!

The government just spent billions of dollars on this new booster. Most of which will be thrown away as basically no one is taking it. Including you.

We do not give new drugs to groups at almost no risk. The only argument that is plausible would be that the drug did slow and prevent spread. We knew that was not the case by April 2021 lol...

When you say "we do not give new drugs to groups at almost no risk" what are you basing it on? Years of experience with worldwide deadly pandemics or just your belief?

The fact is vaccines have saved lives. They've lowered the risk for all groups from hospitalization, serious illness, and death, including the most at risk. You've spent countless effort twisting facts to fit your beliefs rather than adjusting your beliefs to fit the facts.

What is suppose to be the normal drug approval process. Vaccines typically take a decade or longer. And calling the covid shot a vaccine is being way too generous.

You don’t just give shots to all age groups like this. You may want to dismiss it. But I really believe we caused SMI in millions of people (the symptoms of missing work for fever aches etc). This is an inflammatory disease. One that has a clear effect on the endothelium.

The spike is dangerous. And worst. We make a spike for a variant that is extinct or almost extinct. If you want to cause unnecessary inflammation. The good news is even you do not want this unnecessary inflammation now. :)

Prior to covid, when was the last time we had a worldwide pandemic of a novel animal virus where no one had any prior immunity and that killed over 375k in the first 9 months in the US alone?

Seems to me a damn good reason why the process was sped up. They didn't skip any steps and getting people vaccinated saved 10s if not 100s of thousands of lives. Science at its best.

The ole covid vaccine isn't really a vaccine canard. A retread fav among antivaxxers.

    Easy question...

Do mrna covid vaccines stimulate an immune response? Yes.

    Ergo vaccine.

The COVID vaccine went through three trial phases. Know how many trial phases all new drugs go through to get approval? Three, sometimes four if the data is questionable. Know why other vaccines take so long to create? Because in order to get an attenuated virus that has the right mRNA strain but doesn't cause serious illness, researchers had to inject thousands of thousands of chicken eggs with a virus until they isolated the right variant. Know why we didn't have to do that for COVID? Because we quickly isolated the mRNA needed, and then just injected that using the already tested mRNA vaccine.

Yes, all the other non mRNA ingredients for the COVID vaccine were already tested before with an EBOLA vaccine. No reason to test the inert ingredients again, as they were identical. Last, the results for almost all clinical trials usually wait in limbo 3 to 4 months as the CDC looks at them in order. The COVID vaccine was fast-tracked and moved to the top of the list, saving about a year's worth of wait time between trials. To claim the COVID vaccine shouldn't be called a vaccine, or was rushed is complete and utter bullcrap.

And again, there is evidence at all age groups that the vaccine prevented serious cases and hospitalizations. And at all age groups 12 and over, the vaccine prevented deaths. Take any large group of unvaccinated 20 somethings and put them against a similar sized group of vaccinated 20 somethings, and the unvaccinated will have a higher COVID mortality rate. True for any group over 12. Full stop, the vaccine worked in saving lives. In kids younger than 12, the vaccine prevented MIS-C cases as well.

Can anyone truly argue two-three days worth of normal vaccine side effects not worth saving hospitalizations and deaths? Only Q, with his misinformation, hubris, and misunderstanding of metrics!

I got my shots. Absolutely no problems or issues. The pharmacists seem to be getting better at giving the shots. No pain at all. All I felt was a little coolness from the flu vaccine. They didn’t warm it up enough in time. lol

Technicians are now also certified to be able to give (almost) all inoculations ever since Covid so chances are you’ll probably get one of them.

I got it from a woman whose name tag had her name followed by rph. It’s been three hours and my flu shot arm is a little sore. My Covid arm feels completely normal. I do have a slight headache. I mowed my yard this morning it might be allergies.

This disease was not dangerous to the vast majority of people. And we knew this! Thankfully our governor actually looked at the science when it comes to who is at risk. At the end of the day it was really just those with comorbidities that were older. And certain comorbidities at that being a driving factor. You allowed the fools like fauci to scare you. Thankfully you are no longer taking the shot. As it is dangerous. Now for those in a high risk group...the benefit might outweigh the harm when deciding whether it would be worth taking (but there are not many people in this group and with the reality that the shot is based on a basically extinct variant and seroprevalence...there is likely no need for anyone to take one anymore/if you wanted to be on the ready to produce what appeared would be the next big variant and someone wanted maybe three months of potential protection then I suppose lol). But these shots should have never been given authorization to the healthy population until proper testing was done. But we blew that up from the very beginning!!!

Now we are wasting resources to spend money on a shot that will end up in the garbage as even you are not going to take it.

Absolutely considering there is not emergency for the vast majority of people. Most hospitalizations happened in the vaccinated (since mid 2021 once we had a majority vaccinated) and continue to happen in the vaccinated. And they are not for covid but with covid.

Just do not give your kids another one of these shots please!

Watch out! You’re experiencing one of those safety signals because nobody has ever felt like poo after a vaccination before! All kidding aside, you should be back to normal in a day or two once your immune system kicks in fully.
