Yes, because all doctors aren't children. I've never been against vaccinating most adults(still not smart for 18-21 year old males to get the vaccine due to higher myocarditis risks). But vaccinating healthy kids was beyond stupid. Glad my kids never got the vax.

 

The Great Barrington doctors, which offers a nice platitude, first, protect the most vulnerable, but no practical advise on how to actually accomplish this. How do you protect the elderly in a country where 1 in 5 households are multi-generational? Ship granny off to a COVID Internment Camp? And what if Grandma was a source of free child care for the parent, allowing them to work? Do you offer COVID relief for the loss of free childcare? What about workers who deal with the more vulnerable? Do they isolate as well? And other adults with comormidities? Including parents. What are theirs options?

Let's not also forget, the one country that tried to seek herd immunity as a policy quickly reversed course within weeks. And later, called the policy the worst public health mistake in history.

There is a reason less than 50% of 12-15 year olds in England have taken the shot. Unfortunately it is a bit over 50% for the next range of ages as early on the fear mongering worked to unnecessarily scare parents into jabbing their kids. Even so. The number of shots going in arms right now is way down. For a reason. Doctors are not listening to there idiots in public health that don’t have a clue.

Using this Nordic study of 23 million For 16-24 yo males, post vax myo rates were 6 (pfizer-pfizer) to 28 (pfizer-moderna) x HIGHER than post covid. Males 12-15 had 0 post covid myo cases. Excess myo/pericarditis events in 28 days for 2 dose regimens in 16-24 yo males 80/million, pfizer-pfizer (6x post covid) 380/million, pfizer-moderna (28x) 260/million moderna-moderna (19x)

I have a customer, around age 50 I guess - vaccinated, he allows - who’s expressed frustrations about heart problems he’s been having. He said his doctor was puzzled, at first, but now attributes these puzzling heart issues to the effects of Covid. *rolls eyes*

 

Two things. One, in the conclusion, the paper agreed with the CDC, the European Medicines Agency, and the American College of Cardiology that risks were very low, and the benefits of vaccination far outweigh the risks. Two, the paper, like others looking at myocarditis risks with vaccination, only track within 28 days, especially since all vaccination events usually occur within 7 days. This isn't always the case with cardiac events post infection. As this study shows, acute myocarditis can still occur long after initial infection, and even after full recovery. Within 28 days, the risk might be slightly higher with vaccination, but overall, risks are likely higher with infection, because there are cases of delayed cases with infection, which doesn't happen with vaccination.
