Just seems strange to me that the gold standard study doesn't state they don't work but rather that the results have been inconclusive. To me, the conclusion is more that the studies were of poor quality to be able to draw conclusions (The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions).

Again, there is no virus. The studies can only draw from PCR or antigen test results that are 100% false in that they are calibrated to find segments of an in silico genome sequence, e.g., a mental construct.

There are no studies predicated on who got runny noses and who didn’t.

Get some new material. The "viruses don't exist" thing is getting tiresome and boring.

Change the channel. Meantime, whether viruses exist or not is THE root issue. So much so that the side condemning lockdowns, mask and vaccine mandates is equally misguided. They do not appreciate that, as long as belief in cough and kill Grandma persists, people will always view others as disease vectors and will clamor for curbs on freedoms.

They do not stop aerosol particles that will remain in the air. The N95 maybe a little if worn right. It is a matter of physics.

Then when people believe they actually work. They end up acting irrationally and go hang out with others when they are sick thinking they are protecting them. It is a matter of psychology.

That was a review of many RCT’s. None of which showed that masks worked better than no masks. It’s that simple. Time for everyone to admit it and move on.

And if the were a tenth percent ineffective because people act irrationally thinking they work…they killed thousands of lives.

1.26 million excess deaths since 2020. None from a virus. “Do something” was murderous.

It makes you second guess why these institutions have any credibility. Let’s force the group not at risk who as almost certainly superior protection at this point to take a shot they do not need and may harm them. That is criminal in my book. And should be borderline criminal in the I have taken 5 shots person book.

I think you’re glossing over the fact they could be ineffective because of how people respond to believing they work when they don’t.

Stanford is one of the hardest Universities to get into. This makes you wonder…

“That works out to a masking rate of 41% and helmet-wearing rate of 17%. So, Stanford students are about twice as likely to wear a mask on a bicycle as a helmet. To be certain, there’s a margin of error here -- I can only count so many cyclists at a time, and I’m sure I missed some. But the point stands that at one of America’s leading research universities, students wear masks on bicycles at a higher rate than they wear helmets.”

Review Analysis: Stanford students are more likely to wear masks on bicycles than helmets

Disinformation alert: There is a lot of bad information in this thread. Please consult with your doctor about vaccines and the efficacy of wearing masks. Rely on their expert judgement, not the office manager of a dental clinic or an "attorney."

Yes consult with your doctor about the shot. And masks. I 100% agree!

It is why so few are taking the shot these days with all the advertising to take them and no one is wearing a mask. Even at the doctors office…

I would have given this post a “Winner” but jmdz had to take an ignorant shot at me making that not an option.

Should I consider getting my child vaccinated for COVID-19?
Yes. Experts, including those at Johns Hopkins, believe that there are many benefits:

The vaccine helps prevent kids from getting COVID-19: Although COVID-19 in children is sometimes milder than in adults, some kids infected with the coronavirus can get severe lung infections, become very sick and require hospitalization. This is especially important to remember in light of variants, which can be very contagious. “The current vaccines are still effective in preventing severe illness from current variants of the virus,” Sick-Samuels notes. Children can also have complications such as multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children that may require intensive care or long-lasting symptoms that affect their health and well-being. The virus can cause death in children, although this is rarer than for adults.
