How about you let us do what we want and you do what you want and remain completely ignorant about science and how it works. Deal? Or you can keep getting triggered by people getting boosters that have no affect on your life.

I was prescribed the Merck pill (Lagevrio) because my doctor thought that Paxlovid, the Pfizer pill usually prescribed for Covid could interact with the other meds I was taking. Obviously anecdotal it was apparently effective since I recovered from the Covid rather quickly. I tested positive on January 7, started taking the drug on the evening of January 8th, by the January 9th the symptoms were much less severe essentially going from those of a bad cold to a mild cold and by the 12th or 13th the symptoms of Covid-19 were almost completely gone with only minor nasal congestion remaining. I would concede that it's just as likely that the short course of the illness may have been attributable to the fact that I was fully vaxxed and boosted as it was to the antiviral and that I may still have recovered quickly even if I had not taken the drug.

Not a physician or scientist but I suspect that other antivirals and antibiotics could have a similar effect as that indicated by the study.

Lagevrio is also much more readily available right now compared to Paxlovid. Paxlovid is out there, but it’s also requiring you to drive a distance to receive it unless you happen to live in the area where they’re able to get it in. Publix has it set to where only a select set of stores will receive them, acting as a hub so to speak.
