Maybe if you admitted that children didn’t need the vaccine at all(except those with underlying conditions) people would take you more seriously. Until you admit you were wrong on that I know I won’t.

One of the reasons for requiring the vaccination for all school children is to prevent the transmission of Covid to those children who are immunocompromised or have serious underlying medical conditions. While most children who become infected exhibit relatively minor symptoms a universal vaccination mandate protects the small minority of children who may experience serious symptoms should they become infected. It's the reason why the MMR vaccine is mandated. For most children measles, mumps and rubella are illnesses from which they would fully recover. Not so for a minority of children. Vaccines are mandated to achieve herd immunity which requires that a least 95% of a population have immunity either through vaccination or prior infection.

There is zero data showing the vaccine is effective in children. Yet the Myocarditis risk in boys is extremely high. So everything you said was wrong, let alone not accounting for natural immunity, which almost every kid already has had.

Myocarditis risk is less with Pfizer than with infection. Moderna has a higher myocarditis risk, especially after the 2nd shot. But for kids under 16, only Pfizer can be given. In addition, myocarditis is rarely serious, and almost never deadly. To date, there have been 519 COVID deaths for kids under 4, and 901 COVID deaths between kids 4 and 18 in the US. Even if you cut this number in half to account for the BS "with COVID" or "from COVID", it's still significantly higher than the 2 deaths from myocarditis during this same time period. And these 2 myocarditis deaths are unlikely a result from the vaccine. In short, myocarditis from COVID has a chance of leading to MIS-C, which is always serious. Myocarditis from the vaccine, and there is no MIS-C risk at all.

And @VAg8r1 is right about getting vaccinated to protect those who either cannot, or those with a condition that causes the vaccine to be less effective. The vaccine still offers some protection from infection, and helps people recover faster, meaning they are infectious for a smaller period of time. Two things that lowers the RO rate of COVID.

The Doctors at Johns Hopkins lay it all out in this site. Too bad too many Americans dO thEiR Own ReseArcH on Youtube, and don't listen to the experts.

    Extremely high?
    https://www.bmj.com/content/378/bmj-2021-069445

By the way, the article suggested that increasing the time between doses could lower the incidence of myocarditis and although not mentioned in that specific article, for young males the J&J vaccine should be the vaccine of choice rather than one of the mRNA vaccines, kind of the reverse of the recommendation for women of child bearing age who could develop blood clots from the J&J vaccine, a serious but also extremely rare side effect.

Then what is it that you are looking for us to some up with that we do not already have?

Why create variant specific shots? For the elderly and those who are immune compromised and if and only if they can be created in time for distribution, though it is doubtful we can do that. We are going to distribute a bi-valent vaccine with dubious benefit over the original vaccine and right when most of the BA.5 surge has returned to a steady state of infections.

As it stands now, for the majority of Americans 65 and under, the original full series - 2 primary shots and a booster at least 6 months later are sufficient protection against severe disease. There is no compelling science supporting another booster, and no compelling data to show that if that booster was a bi-valent mRNA vaccine that it would extend the period of neutralizing anti-bodies beyond the established 3-6 months.

Frankly, what is more important right now would be finish getting people vaccinated with the original vaccine to minimize the number probability of inexact virus replication and new variant creation. That means the entire globe, not just the US. That would be our best defense against future variants.

At the same time @ncargat1 continues to discuss TCell and BCell but seems to refuse to acknowledge Natural Immunity.

The shot does not stop kids from spreading Covid. Serology says over 75% have had Covid. The disease is not an emergency to kids anyways.

This drug should not be EUA for children. Let alone mandated!

Our university still has an active vax policy. We haven't heard any action-based policy yet, but I imagine that new incoming students will be held accountable to the policy.

Unless I'm mistaken, @ncargat1 rolled out a whole lotta good vax info in the "good" covid thread.

It is crazy that higher level institutions (there are many) are still pushing these archaic shots on healthy young people. Almost all of whom have some sort of protection by now. Whether it be natural immunity to one or more variants. Whether it be taking the shot(s). Whether it be taking the shot(s) and getting it. Whether getting Covid and taking shot(s) later. This is nothing more than paying pharma off at this point.

Good news though. We have an animal tested bivalent shot coming. No way after billons of dollars should we have expected a human trial to produce a bivalent shot in less than 9 months…:eek:o_O:confused:

You are mistaken in the fact they continue to ignore the reality of natural infection producing TCells and BCells. I don’t dispute the idea one gets some TCell and BCell protection from the shot(s). But when the information is used to unnecessarily coerce or pressure people to take a shot when they already have protection and ignore basic science. It is hard to take seriously.

There was a small window where these shots were useful. And it is to bad we have not been as on top of newer ones and instead focused on making the groups who are at little risk take these shot(s).

Your capacity to make things up and pound the table as though they are fact rivals the ability of propagandists and dictators of our past. You truly missed your calling in life.

That said, how does discussing an incredibly successful vaccine discount disease induced immunity (there is actually probably a handful of humans that demonstrate "Natural Immunity", but your constant misuse of the term continues to highlight your total lack of understanding)?

For someone so worried about people taking control of their own health for better outcomes, you sure dismiss a lot of points about training your immune system without most of the long term disease degradation to your cardiovascular, endocrine and nervous system.

Curious, in fact, what it is that you choose to constantly ignore in favor of fear and propaganda and flat out lies??

I have no issues taking a vaccines. I am vaccinated for many. My kids are as well.

You want to push a new drug that did accomplish a little in the real short term. Yet failed on the grand scheme. And push it on people who do not need it. A drug that does not stop people from spreading it as sold. You are part of the reason it has taken this long to ge at bivalent shot. A bivalent shot that is animal tested not human tested no less. Booster away. Unfortunately the high risk groups will be relying on animal tests now…o_O:eek::confused::cool:

Please start following the science and stop living in the past!
