Vaccinating a healthy kid under 5 for Covid is just dumb. Period!

Big Pharma appreciates your sentiments though.

Again, I find myself in an interesting conundrum. Listen to some random Internet genius that doesn't understand basic aspects of statistics? Or listen to experts from places like Yale Medicine, Johns Hopkins, and the CDC.

And to answer the question, why should we vaccinate children when odds are low they will be seriously affected, here's a quip from the Hopkins link:

WE OFTEN HEAR, ‘CHILDREN ARE JUST SO MUCH LESS LIKELY TO GET SICK, SO WHY BOTHER VACCINATING THEM?’ LESS THAN HALF OF ELIGIBLE YOUNGER KIDS HAVE BEEN VACCINATED, SO SOME PARENTS ARE CLEARLY WONDERING WHAT THE POINT IS. WHY DO YOU THINK KIDS SHOULD BE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID?

This virus is smarter than we ever imagined. I remember saying in 2020 that this virus has got it made because it transmits really well. That was true of the early isolates of SARS-CoV-2. Omicron and its subvariants are more transmissible than measles—one of the most infectious diseases we know of.

What that means is that virtually everybody is going to get infected with this virus sooner or later. So, even if complications in children are rare, if everybody is getting infected, the absolute number of children who will have serious disease or who will die is not a small number. Right now, the CDC estimates that 1,200 children have died of COVID. We're talking for the most part about generally healthy children or children with minor medical issues. This is a tragedy. Whatever we can do to avoid this tragedy is something we should do.

You want to force your healthy young child into a reasonable chance of having a fever or potentially worse for a disease that is not dangerous to them…go for it. It is a dumb decision. Even dumber considering the majority of kids have already had the disease. Even more dumb considering we are using the same archaic design for the ancestral spike protein.

Don't bother. I don't respond to obvious trolls on the subject of covid. That poster has been wrong for 2+ years and still doesn't care. He continues to be wrong. Just laugh at him and ignore him.

The good news is Florida recognizes we should not be recommending healthy young kids get jabbed for Covid.

Agreed if the kid has a confirmed case already, the benefits of being vaccinated are so low, not worth the risk. But if you don't know if the kid has had a case or not, the risks are low, and there are benefits. Again, major medical groups like Yale and Johns Hopkins, along with the CDC all basically say the same thing. Why should anyone trust you or other charlatans over them? What makes you experts, and Doctors at Yale, JH, and the CDC wrong?

More potentially bad news for those that took the Pfizer vaccine for Covid-19... I still cannot believe that we allowed ourselves to be forced to take this dangerous jab... well, not me per se, but may other people around the world were forced to take it or they loses their livelihoods.

Don't worry it's election year and this whole process will come back around to catch the rest of the pure-bloods that refused to take that clot-shot.

There is a temporary reduction in sperm count after vaccination. But a study with 2000 couples showed no difference in the ability to conceive after vaccination. There was a small reduction in the ability to conceive after COVID infection.

Just curious what is the hospitalization rate for this age group for the Flu? I did some digging but couldn't find specifics.

Flu hospitalization rates vary because different strains can be more serious than others. I looked, and from 2010/11 to 2019/20, the range of pediatric hospital visits for kids under 5 were between 7,000 and 26,000 a year. Not sure if there is a point, but flu and COVID hospitalizations are something we should try and prevent at all ages. The vaccination can help reduce serious COVID cases.

As for why the COVID vaccine could temporarily affect sperm count, it's likely due to the fact that a slight fever is one of the side effects of the shot. And running a fever can negatively effect sperm, which prefer a temperature about 1 degree less than average body temp. And as this link states, any illness from any virus can cause a decrease in sperm count. It's not just COVID.

Hang in there. I had both about a year ago and felt pretty crappy for a couple days each time. Mostly tired & weak. All recovered after 4 days.

I really didn't have a negative reaction after shingles shot #1. Felt like sh*t for around 48 hours after #2 (chills and slight fever along with the "blahs").

Yesterday it was 25 year old 1st round NBA draft pick Swanigan who died of "natural causes" and today it's a 26 year old middle linebacker for the Ravens. Why are so many young healthy athletes dying? They are dying in their sleep, on the soccer fields, from blood clots, cancer and heart attacks. At some point, the main stream media will have to report on this historic anomaly.

Not this crap again. Swanigan put on about 100 pounds plus after his playing days were over. And had a known drug problem. As for Ferguson, no ruling yet, but he was found in a neighborhood one wouldn't expect a NFL player to be in, and police have not ruled out an overdose.
