If the standard for testing is whether the course of treatment would be changed (as reflected by your link) then we are testing absurdly few people. Basically, that means a test to confirm a pneumonia or fever isn’t bacterial. And if bacteria is ruled out. Then we know the infection is likely viral. But may not know which virus. So members don’t get counted because the highly probable cause— COVID 19– isn’t confirmed. Ugh. Our nation’s policy is to be ignorant. Which makes lying easier.
