You want to covid test every day, knock yourself out but realize a large portion of the population thinks you're batshit crazy.

 

You STILL don't get it. A person's decision not to take a vaccine that has been proven to be both safe and effective may result in other people (family, friends, neighbors or simply fellow Americans) getting seriously ill and dying.

Your statement referring to "a drug that is new to the market and has been pushed with a lot of red flags" is ancient history. Since then, billions of people all over the world have been safely vaccinated. You're living in the past. The death rate in the U.S. is now higher than most developed nations because so many people believed such out-dated BS and refused to get vaccinated.

 

I'm so happy you're speaking on behalf of a large portion of the population, given your measured and compassionate approach to controversial topics.

The whole comparison is ridiculous. That said…many are far more danger today driving than they are from Covid. And that is even wearing a seat belt while unvaccinated …

 

This pandemic has been politicized from day 1.

It stinks we have to sift through the propaganda and narratives to navigate this thing. Sadly that is what we are dealing with. And it is bipartisan…

 

You still don’t get it. A persons decision to take the vaccine is not stopping them from infecting other family members and people. We just had the most recent too hot poster to announce they have Covid confirm they were fully vaccinated (also had Covid in the pst). Thankfully they are doing better it appears. But the vaccine did not stop them from unfortunately putting others at risk because they got Covid. I only it say this way because so many on here accuse those who are unvaccinated as putting others at risk. Reality is @antny1 never purposely put anyone at risk. Just like any person vaccinated or unvaccinated who gets covid.

 

How do you square that opinion with the data showing lower spread among those who are vaccinated as compared to the higher spread among those who are unvaccinated?

Putting all the data together with personal experiences and trying to sift through the agendas and narratives. It is quite clear the drugs are pretty much worthless now. From alpha to delta…natural immunity was very effective while ignored. Now with omicron even natural immunity appears to not matter. One may gain a potential t-cell response from taking one of these already archaic drugs (crazy but they are). But at this point people who are such supporters of these new drugs really should be pressing on why we do not have a new generation designed to deal much better with the spike protein from omicron or BA2. Instead we let the narrative be pushed for people to take a drug that is not that useful anymore. Shoot…we have Moderna trying to get approval to jab 6 month olds with it. These should be red flags. And more and more doctors are seeing it…

 

And you still don't get it. Less risk does not equal no risk. Drive the speed limit, seat belt on at all times, obeying all speed limit laws, and you still put yourself at risk at getting into an accident. But if you take all the precautions, you lower the risk to you, and those around you.

The vaccine works the same way. All scientific research has proven this to be true. The vaccine doesn't eliminate all risk, but lowers the risk you will be infected, lowers the risk you'll infect others, lowers the risk of hospitalization, and lowers the risk of death from COVID. Why wouldn't we all want to lower the risk for ourselves, and everyone around us?

 

That isn't what the data says about the vaccines.

 

No risk...is not getting covid and not taking the drug.

Outside that...when there is no real risk. There is no reason to create a risk. Anytime you inject yourself there is a risk.

If your risk tolerance is that you fear Covid enough to get boosters for a drug designed for a variant long gone and no longer working well at all on the new variants (like natural immunity). Go for it. Comparing it to driving with a sleep belt is just way off base.

 

When you have a virus as contagious as COVID, especially the Omicron variant, the chances of not getting exposed is virtually zero. Unless you live your life as a hermit, and never interact with anyone, ever.

And while there is risk any time you inject yourself, the death toll numbers speak for themselves. Over 1 million Americans dead from COVID, which has been the third leading cause of death behind heart disease and cancer since 2019. The best way to reduce the risk short of being an absolute hermit? Vaccinate yourself. As again, all studies show this lowers your risk of getting sick, infecting others, being hospitalized, or ending up in the morgue.

 

Omicron/BA2 does not care if you are vaccinated or not. Hence the best form of protection (natural immunity) does not even work well against it. Look...if your risk tolerance is so little that you want to take a drug that is not working but might provide a small therapeutic help with maybe some t-cell help. Go for it.

The best way to protect yourself is to get outside. Exercise. Eat well. Take care of your body and your immune system is more than capable to handle Covid if you unfortunately get it. If you are too lazy for that or your risk tolerance is basically zero. Take the drugs. Of course vaccinated and unvaccinated will still have bad outcomes. As we have seen.

 

This is false. The data shows being vaccinated is still better than not being vaccinated, even against Omicron/BA2.

 

You really refuse to read facts, and just keep spewing the same garbage over and over and over.

Since it is becoming clear that T-cell activity is the primary defense against infection of this virus, multiple papers have now shown that the variant specfiic vaccines do not confer any better protection against severe disease or death.

So, despite the fact that you make fun of people who get vaccinated and receive the boosters, now you are advocating for variant specific boosters that do not confer any better long term protection.

Worse yet, there are people on here who believe your BS.
