It's almost as if this global pandemic, which killed more than 1million Americans, was a once-in-a-lifetime catastrophe.

I hope your right, lots of our fellow Americans who were mainly elderly or had underlying conditions died from the flu like virus, it's almost like the flu left for a couple years

Please go see your doctor or visit the ER. They can prescribe medications to help with your respiratory symptoms, not to mention decrease the likelihood of further hospitalization.

Now that's dickish. Seriously . . . get some help. Or a clue (probably not possible). The dude has Covid, with respiratory issues and you're using that to complain about the vax like a little whiny ______.

Thanks. I feel like symptoms leveled off and I'm in a holding pattern. Going to see how the night goes and then seek appropriate treatment from there. I have been out of the game for the latest treatments but am learning about paxlovid and other options.

Crazy thing is I was around covid constantly from August to March administering regeneron and covid tests and never got it. I had it once before in 2020 but was basically asymptomatic then. Between natural immunity and prophylactic regeneron I got complacent and didn't follow up with boosters.

this is a good example of the hubris with so many. The anti-vax, anti-medical-community, conspiracy posts. How do people get so misguided?

It is still speculative and while there is data supporting it not enough to become fully medically accepted yet. But otherwise it’s pretty harmless.

There was one report on benedryl helping reduce Covid severity but I haven’t seen follow ups. There have been more recent reports of benedryl helping long Covid symptoms substantially. But again not enough evidence yet to make it a universally accepted treatment.

It isn’t like flu. It is a Coronavirus. Completely different. The congestion’s and fever are because the immune system reacts that way. Like it does to the flu. Now you know. So, the next time you call it “flu like” is a lie. And I am sure that the dead elderly and vulnerable who you do cold heartedly refer to can take comfort that they lived out their lives until they were killed by the disease. The young and middle aged too. Albeit In lower proportions.

Your symptoms are considered mild. That may be a lesson for some.

Not too much to ask to try to protect yourself and others as this spreads again. And a good reason to boost is to protect yourself From more severe illness. It is worth the crappy day I had yesterday

Yeah. I'm grateful for that although the chest pressure was a new one for me. I have to say I did overlook it somewhat since my first encounter with it was almost asymptomatic. Only reason I knew I had It then was because my crew members had moderate symptoms so I had to get tested.

I still respected it because I have known several people who passed from it and I didn't want to spread it and have that on my conscience.

That is a symptom to get checked. Better to get checked out sooner rather than later. Please get a chest x Ray. And they can get you started on a treatment sooner too.

Yes I plan on getting a chest x-ray. Our dept Is trying to bury their heads in the sand about covid. We get yearly physicals and they used to include a chest x ray. I don't think a yearly one is necessary however given that most in the department got covid you would think they would have done one after as a baseline. I expect they don't want to find anything abnormal so they have just ignored it.
