Same here. Eventually I will get a 4th but I’ll likely wait until another resurgence or upswing or some other compelling reason to get it.

and for the record world 7 day new case average down 17%, yet people still want to keep measures in place.

Hey...We are seeing how correct I have been. But booster up for that alpha variant.

The good news is the BA2 variant continues to be less severe.

We need to stop the mass testing at this point. But something tells me some on here need something to be fearful of so the government likely will not recommend that as a control option will be available.

I noticed you didn't answer the question. Not even close. I didn't think it was that hard of a question. Specially for someone who is apparently so sure of himself. Who is your ideal candidate? Give us a name.

LOL. What a total cop out.

You live in a fantasy world where you would only vote for a guy who died over 150 years ago yet cast aspersions on people who are actually living in reality. You also don't make any real statements as to your actual beliefs but like to accuse people of being "big government" ad nauseam for reasons only you know. Excuse me if I take you with a huge grain of salt. :D

    Big Gov gonna cry?

"You also don't make any real statements as to your actual beliefs"

like in the drug threads where I state that they should be legal or the Fla. Sergeon general thread where I state that there should not be a surgeon general or threads where I state that there should not be SS or the ones where I state that there should not be a min wage. oh, maybe you are referring to my anti tariff & anti protectionism stances or my objection to price gouging laws or my arguments against requiring firms to be audited or where I am against the notion of gov's involvement in marriage. Perhaps you are thinking of my clear objections to fed depts of education, etc. I guess you missed my calling for the abolishment of the ATF & DEA & shuttering of nearly all foreign military bases.

but I don’t sing patriotic songs on the beach while waving sparklers so…..

7 day average down 7%, 7 day deaths down 33%, come on doom and gloomers, where is that next variant that people are shaking in their boots about?also, worldwide down 17% in new cases, 19% in deaths. just because 2 idiots, fauci and the cdc director say the wave is coming people follow them like lemmings over the waterfall, wake up people.more news, europe ,which is suppose to tell us how it will be here down 21% and 7%, need more facts?

Here's a NY Times article postulating why the new variant isn't taking a hold here in the US as in other places. Several theories. First, public testing is down, and most people are testing at home. Which is fine, but how many people report a positive home test?

Second, in deep blue areas, there are very high vaccination rates. In deeper red areas, there is a high number of people with natural immunity. Perhaps we've finally reached a herd immunity number here in the US with the combo? If yes, good for us with one major caveat. The price we have paid in terms of deaths per 100,000 citizens was very high. Another note, to go with point one, if someone is vaccinated and tests positive, the chances the case will be mild is high, so they are unlikely to report, and will likely just stay home for a few days.

Third, maybe we just need to wait a little longer for the next wave to hit? Who knows. COVID has not been a typical virus in many aspects, and does not act like the flu, which is where most of our virology knowledge comes from. For all we have learned about COVID-19, there's still a ton we don't understand.

Personally, I don't see another wave coming like we're seeing in Europe. Our vaccination plus NI rates are likely higher, so that less American will likely catch the next variant. And if we do, we're likely to home test, and not report it. Just my opinion.

i applaud your factual presentation of the dropping case numbers, wish others who are always quick to point out negatives involving numbers involving covid will give up the ghost and come to see the next wave is not coming.

B-I-D-E-N! The only reason the variant would not take hold here is because of immunity. Now, with Asymptomatic cases, folks feel great and are surprised to test positive. Eric Spoelstra as an example. And, fewer serious cases support fewer mitigation measures.
