Lightning isn't dangerous to most. Care to stand out in a middle of a storm holding a 1-iron? Driving isn't dangerous to most. Care to drive without a seat belt on?

COVID is the third leading cause of death in the US. And many of those deaths were preventable. Between June and Sept, as many as 90,000 lives could have been saved with the vaccine.

And then there are charts like this. Clearly shows that the danger to the unvaccinated is greater than those who are vaccinated. Why anyone who is eligible to be vaccinated would refuse to do so is as stupid as holding that 1-iron in a storm, or driving without a seat belt.

Heart disease, #1 cause of death, is preventable but you don't see the government mandating exercise and a clean diet? They offer recommendations and insurance companies offer incentives.

The same should have been done for covid.

How is that propaganda? Likely way more than 970,000 Americans have died from Covid.

    Do you deny this?

People don't get heart disease by sitting next to someone that does.

So if you can feel uncomfortable boost up and wear a mask. Don't force others to do so.

    Bless your heart.

Imagine being two years into a pandemic and still not understanding the directionality of mask effectiveness.

Imagine being 2 years in and not caring anymore about masks. At this point everyone should be taking care of themselves and not forcing others to do it for them.

I understand your position. You have no obligation to protect others. There's no need to reiterate.
How many drunk drivers have boasted the same sentiment?

Will excess deaths work for you?

    And everyone knows yours.
You want to force everyone to your standards. It's a broken record, no need to reiterate.

As for drunk driving, it shouldn't be illegal. Injuring someone/ damaging property while driving drunk is the crime.

No injury or damage no crime.

Here's information on excess deaths in 2021.

According to the data, COVID-19 was either a primary cause or one of multiple contributing causes of 467,000 deaths in 2021. This was an increase of nearly 100,000 deaths compared to 2020.

COVID-19 was responsible for almost all excess deaths in 2021. If COVID-19 deaths are excluded from the analysis, the number of observed deaths in 2021 was less than one percent above what was expected.

The public good ( health) is served by making it illegal to drive drunk/impaired because of the great likelihood of property/personal damage. As a society we know these are probable outcomes that often have grave results. Therefore it's illegal. We issue mandates for vaccines for the public good (health) to limit the likelihood of severe health consequences/deaths ( see polio, smallpox, MMR). As a society this makes sense. Selfish people risk suffering to others if they drive drunk, same for not being vaccinated.

I can't find my spread sheet or the exact data that I got from the CDC, but if my memory serves me correctly, over 96% of excess deaths related to covid were "from covid" not "with covid" i.e. covid being one of other factors
