Thank you for acknowledging it is true.

You want to know what else is true.

That the vast majority who have severe illness or death are obese/elderly/comorbidity. But shoot. The cdc had 75% of deaths with FOUR OR MORE comorbidities if I remember right.

What a disaster our public health officials in powers were and are!

Probably that they had done everything in their own power to save their life.

Vaccinated people who died had an average of 4 comirbities. Different story for unvaccinated. And why you see very few deaths for vaccinated people under 50. Different story for the unvaccinated. And why it's estimated the vaccine could have saved 163,000 people since June, 2021.

Wrong. If you’re unvaccinated you’re NOT doing the single thing that has the greatest chance of saving your life. Period.

Just think, if we had not changed a thing in March 2020, not tested, not developed a vaxx, no one would have gotten sick or died from covid.

Will the 'Unvaxxed' Have the Last Laugh? (townhall.com)

Originally, of course, we were told the mRNA injections would prevent people from contracting the disease. “If you get vaccinated, you won’t get covid” was the mantra recited for months, in various forms and multiple forums, by Drs. Fauci, Walensky, and Murthy, President Biden*, and many others. We were also assured that sufficiently jabbed people don’t spread the virus, with Fauci claiming the injections constitute a “dead end for covid.”

It's important not to forget those statements, as the same people now insist they never promised any such thing. Perhaps that’s because, in the face of overwhelming evidence, they’ve been forced to admit jabbed people can and do get covid and can and do give it to others. Said Walensky just a few weeks ago, “what [the vaccines] can’t do anymore is prevent transmission.” Even Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla was forced to acknowledge that his products now offer “limited, in any, protection.”

For one thing, the most commonly cited number to prove “vaccine efficacy”—“90 percent of covid deaths are among the unvaccinated”—is fundamentally flawed because it goes back to the earliest days of the injections when almost no one had gotten them. Obviously, nearly all who died of (or with) covid in January and February of 2021 were “unvaccinated.”

Moreover, our health officials have been engaged for over a year in a kind of statistical sleight of hand, categorizing people who have taken the injections as “unvaccinated” up until 14 days after their second shot, which means at least five or six weeks have passed since their first shot. In doing so, they ignore evidence that the shots actually make people more susceptible to the virus in the short term. So if you contract covid after getting both shots, but prior to the closing of the 14-day window, and then die, you are considered an “unvaccinated” death. (They’re playing this same trick with the booster shots, too.)

Another fact the Covidians like to conveniently gloss over is that most people who die from covid, still, are elderly and/or infirm. In many cases, they’re already at death’s door, too sick even to be injected, which for them would simply hasten the inevitable with no appreciable benefit. Yet when they do die, they’re chalked up as “unvaccinated.” That clearly skews the numbers.

Well, the Dutch researchers think they know why the injections seem to prevent some deaths: because they impede the immune system’s response to the point where such extreme reactions are less likely. From the study: “We observed a significant reduction in the production of IFN-a (Interferon-alpha, a primary cytokine) secreted after…the administration of the second dose of the vaccine. This may hamper the initial innate immune response against the virus.”

So, yeah. There you go. The injections might—emphasis on might—provide some short-term protection against serious illness and death, although that benefit appears to be disappearing fast. But at what cost? The potentially permanent suppression of your immune system?

Since most healthy people aren’t even at serious risk from the disease, that seems like a high price to pay. And it may well be that, when the pandemic itself is a distant memory, those who refused the shots and came through okay will be much better off in the long run than their incessantly “vaxxed” fellow citizens.

Nothing like seeing just about everyone not wearing a mask at the Superbowl last night only to have all kids in CA wearing a mask this morning. Just so rational. The hypocrisy from the left on masks is awesome. It will ensure a blood bath in '22. Not in CA of course but in many contested areas the blatant stupidity of still masking kids will push independents to the right. Thanks for the help everyone on this thread!

How does anyone explain a chart like this without coming to the conclusion that the vaccine saves lives?

Please notice the timeframe. Nov 15, 2021 through Jan 3, 2022, with plenty of vaccine to go around for all.

As for the vaccine will prevent all cases, regrow your hair, and help you win the lottery statements, real scientists never said any of that. In fact, the real scientists were warning way back in April, 2021, about the race between vaccine and variant. And how if we don't vaccinate fast enough, there will a new variant with a certain amount of vaccine resistance that will change everything.

Maybe the vaccines versus variants voices should have been allowed to be louder? Maybe policy makers thought enough people would get vaccinated if the message was the vaccine was the way out of the pandemic? Maybe people just underestimated the amount of ignorant people there are in the world? Regardless, the vaccine has proven to save lives, and is still the best defense you have against COVID. Even if NI is better, if you are unvaccinated, attaining natural immunity requires you to get sick while unvaccinated. And look at the charts above. It will show you why this is a risk.

They aren't basing their positions on real data. They are being fed lies and half-truths by people they shouldn't trust.

I'm waiting on the Child maskers to admit they were wrong on kids wearing masks in school. A few posters admitted they were wrong on calling for school closures. Don't think many will admit they were wrong on school mask mandates though. They've drank the Kool-aid so long they can't bring themselves to admit they were wrong about that as well.

When all is said and done, one of the major themes of the pandemic will be how there was no shortage of bad actors flooding the zone with shit to others who don't know any better and could not interpret a simple cross tabs, much less make sense of any higher level statistics.

People don’t have to understand the higher level statistics. They have to rely on interpretations from those who do to “dumb or down” from the research science level. This is another example of the politicization of fact and reality that has Health consequences for everyone and life and death consequences for some. It is easy to lie to people who want to hear lies and who don’t make an issue to distinguish between them. And when the percentage who suffer severe illness is low, not the numbers seem high because of the exposure levels, it doesn’t move the needle much. All you have to do here is spend a few days reading this thread to see the alignment of the discussion and the right wingers consistently maintaining aligned positions at odds with science and data. The country has paid a price for it but it hasn’t changed anything. Totalitarians depends on propaganda. They depend on controlling the factual narrative. You don’t need a majority. Just a system that allows minority rule. And we are heading that way. 38% of mail on ballots rejected in Texas, where they have a voting system that allows over 65, disabled or people in jail to do mail in. Why? Because they have newer Ids than they did when they registered however many years ago they did. Which they knew in Texas when they passed a voter ID law to prevent fraud. Same stuff, different arena. Policy based on the lie of preventing voter fraud and the lie that the policy is for anything other than excluding votes. If you are disabled or in jail, go update your IS anyway. Etc. Etc. You need to re-think your view. We have a surgeon general in Florida who won’t say if he was vaccinated. What kind of leadership is that? Lead by example: if you think the vaccines are bad, say it. If you think the vaccines are good, say it. As long as he is silent, lies proliferate. That is where we are.
