Booster up my friend. The data speaks. Omicron speaks. Delta speaks.

This was a real virus. And it was never going to be handled perfectly. But our public health officials have been an abject disaster as a whole. We are where we are based on that.

There is a reason we don’t get the hard data anymore.

It should be noted that when presented with "hard data," you generally deflect away from it or ignore it. The "hard data" exists, you just try to cover your eyes to avoid it because it isn't saying what you want it to say.

I'll demonstrate this, here is hard data from Alberta, Canada on the effectiveness of vaccines. Let's see how you handle it:

    COVID-19 Alberta statistics

A 40-49 year old person with a booster is 1/34 as likely to be hospitalized as an unvaccinated person, 1/176 as likely to end up in the ICU, and 1/62 as likely to die.

Our imperfect government's response would have been made easier without abject assholes spreading misinformation in their communities.

As expected, when presented with data, rather than engage with that data, Q rates it as "funny" and runs away.

You can go look for what you want. I look at the hard data when presented and try my best to filter agendas and narratives. Am I going to get it right every time? No. But where we get the best data it speaks.

I suspect that you do very little in the way of filtering out narratives and agendas, as that is all you present here. Instead, I would suggest that you filter data that is inconsistent with your agenda and narrative.

Want to prove me wrong: engage on the data that was presented. The data shows clearly that the vaccine lowers individual probability of being hospitalized, being admitted to an ICU, or dying by fairly significant margins for every single age group. This data was gathered by the Provincial Government of Alberta, one of the most conservative provincial governments in Canada. Either acknowledge that the data is correct, countering your narrative, or state some actual reason to disbelieve the data as presented.

Booster up my friend. I support your decision if that is the one you get to.

And there it is. Your narrative has been challenged, and you are running away from engaging on the data.

I know, let's have the obese middle aged person not wear a mask and have the healthy kids with near zero risks wear a mask. This is why 22 will be a bloodbath. Just feel bad for these kids for having to wear something that provides zero protection to them or anyone around them.

Wait, didn't you just say "There is a reason we don’t get the hard data anymore." Now it is there? Interesting. So now in your zeal to avoid having to engage in the data that does exist and counters your narrative, you have both argued that the data is there and that we don't get the hard data anymore.

We don't. Israel where we would have the best solid data...no longer provides the hard data. They find the age they can use to tell the story they want (got to make that 4th booster look good). England stopped providing the hard data after November.

It is not hard to know that the vast majority of deaths are occurring in the vaccinated. And yes older people are at the most risk and most likely to be vaccinated. The new drugs are not working well at all now. But booster up if you think that is the best decision for you. I support that. People can make decisions for themselves.

The data I linked provided every single age group (from under 5 to over 80). I provided one because I didn't want to have to slowly list out every single age group.

Be honest, you didn't even look at it, did you? You say that you examine data, but you didn't even bother to open the data provided?

The bad thing about blocking someone is you still get the response post , after post after post. It is true that I wasted countless posts in response to Q so it may be hypocritical of me to ask you not to do the same thing, but I will anyway. You are just giving him Oxygen. Consider putting him on ignore. If every body does it he isn’t a factor. While I enjoy back and forth with people I disagree with, I don’t when there isn’t a good faith effort to at least listen and acknowledge the other point of view. He will just keep repeating the same stupid crap over and over again. He revels in his stupidity and ignorance and continuing to engage him just allows him to continue to admire and displayhis stupidity and ignorance, which he clearly enjoys doing.

No because they pollute the thread with so many junk posts along with the inevitable responses they become impossible to ignore. I like debating people who disagree with me. I don’t with people who are intentionally ignorant.
