Why am I not surprised? Maybe after their trial and convictions or their guilty pleas, the nurses will end up providing care to their fellow inmates and/or providing care to the public at little or no compensation as part of their required public service hours. As far as the people purchasing the cards are concerned, they're essentially marks who could end up punishing themselves in the end if they do contract severe cases of Covid-19 or alternatively if they're caught and prosecuted or both.

With the exception of pages on public figures especially politicians, Wikipedia is a relatively credible source. When reading it the prudent approach is to check the footnotes and sources which in the case of Bitchute pretty much confirm the description. Just out of curiosity if you could provide a summary of the credentials of the doctor displayed in the video it would be appreciated. Maybe it's just me but I also tend to be very skeptical of videos that are obviously heavily edited.

Gotta love the way this country has gone. A very well respected virologist who received the presidential medal of honor from both a Republican president and Democratic president and has a 35 year record of accomplishments has become the subject of ridicule while high profile conspiracy theorists are hailed as experts.

I remember that dude. Just looked up a video from his Fox News interview. He has 4 kids apparently. But at least he owned a lib. His actions were beyond selfish and, unfortunately, now others have to pay for it. I hope the rest of the family is healthy. But their lives are now going to be much harder (he said that they were essentially a one income family).

He probably thought he was a badass at the time. It’s almost like he was asking for the virus to kill him. Example #127,463.

Assuming the guy didn’t totally blow his pension, his wife probably gets some survivors benefits. As it was a “viral” video, they might make out better financially than most from charitable giving. Which isn’t necessarily fair to others that experience loss (without being an idiot), but it is what it is.

This whole line of questioning is puzzling. Basically saying that natural immunity needs to be studied more. While I have no problem with studying it, what is the goal in doing so? It is certainly no revelation that once you are sick your body develops natural immunity.

But the goal is not to get sick in the first place. So advocating for natural immunity as a way to control spread of disease is bizarre strategy. Get sick so you don't get sick! The only reason these people are pimping natural immunity is as an excuse to not have to take the vaccine. But the fact is in almost all cases the vaccine helps even if you have natural immunity.

Interesting news on long covid research. Looked but didnt see thread on research

Long-haul COVID comes into focus thanks to St. Louis doctor’s research

Dr. Leonard Weinstock, a gastroenterologist at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, believes the answer lies in the body’s mast cells. Those cells are activated in response to allergens or toxins. But for some patients, they seem to run amok. Even when there’s seemingly nothing to aggravate them, they go into attack mode, setting off symptoms like hives, swelling and difficulty breathing.
For Weinstock, who’s become an expert in what’s known as mast cell activation syndrome, long COVID had a familiar ring — one now confirmed by research. In a recent study published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, Weinstock and his colleagues found patients suffering from long COVID had “symptoms almost identical and similar in severity to those of mast cell activation patients.”

I really hope they kept good records. I suspect that a lot of their clients were policemen being referred by her husband.

how good is your immunity if delta kills you or incapacitates you with long haul covid?

did you read the article

NEW YORK (AP) — A new study released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that people who were both vaccinated and had survived a prior bout of COVID-19 were best protected from infection.
..............
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which released the study Wednesday, noted several caveats to the research. And some outside experts were cautious of the findings and wary of how they might be interpreted.
.................
Another thing to consider: The “staunchly unvaccinated” aren’t likely to get tested and the study only included lab-confirmed cases, Wherry said.
“It may be that we’re not picking up as many reinfections in the unvaccinated group,” he said.

CDC officials noted other limitations. The study was done before the omicron variant took over and before many Americans received booster doses, which have been shown to dramatically amplify protection by raising levels of virus-fighting antibodies. The analysis also did not include information on the severity of past infections, or address the risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19.

The study authors concluded vaccination “remains the safest strategy” to prevent infections and “all eligible persons should be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination.”

While accurate it's based on retrospective data. The dominant variant happens to be the Omicron variant, not the Delta variant.

Omicron: Natural immunity idea ‘not really panning out,’ doctor explains
Also the superior form of immunity is a combination of natural immunity and immunity from vaccination.
Natural immunity doesn’t protect you as well as the Covid vaccines — here’s why

A Financial Times analysis finds hospitalization rate in US would be half of what it is if US had the same vaccination rate as certain European nations.
COVID hospitalizations would halve in US if vaccinated like Europe: FT Thank you anti-vaxxers for the lies you have spread that have convinced others to not get vaccinated. And for doing your part to burden society and the hospitals with your disease promoting behavior.

I think his point is that those who have convalescent immunity have a superior immune response. Of course, vaccination and infection are superior as well. So, it is unreasoned to promote infection.

Lockdowns only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2%, study finds: 'Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand' | Fox News
The Johns Hopkins University study also found that shelter-in-place orders reduced COVID-19 mortality by 2.9%

Lockdowns during the first COVID-19 wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID-19 mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe, according to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies.

"While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument."

"We find little to no evidence that mandated lockdowns in Europe and the United States had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality rates," the researchers wrote.

"[Shelter-in-place orders] may isolate an infected person at home with his/her family where he/she risks infecting family members with a higher viral load, causing more severe illness," the researchers wrote.

"But often, lockdowns have limited peoples’ access to safe (outdoor) places such as beaches, parks, and zoos, or included outdoor mask mandates or strict outdoor gathering restrictions, pushing people to meet at less safe (indoor) places."
