Two week lag in deaths (approximately), you have to compare deaths now to cases two weeks ago to get a more accurate death rate. Otherwise the death rate swings wildly back and forth depending on if cases are increasing or decreasing. If you take the numbers from the same day, when cases are falling, the death rate skyrockets.

 

I thought we gave billions to hospitals to increase their capacity and have PPE. Why do we have so few staffed beds compared to last year? I get it, some nurses/health care professionals quit, but ignoring science and firing people who have natural immunity but having people work while Covid+ is batshit crazy.

 

And when the resident fear mongers come and say pediatric hospitals are overflowing just know that a lot of the kids there are for other reasons than covid.

I am sadly that aware. Narrative: novel virus is real, does not discriminate, can kill the young and healthy on its own, must resort to extreme measures to contain it up to and including getting everyone jabbed several times. Freedom to live our lives and to pursue our livelihoods is a luxury we cannot always afforded.

Dissenters are encircled, set upon, memed, de-platformed, banished into the wilderness, reduced to having to communicate via smoke signals.

When's the last time we saw a surge in pediatric hospitalizations like we are seeing today? Or how do you explain stories about rising pediatric hospitalization in places like Michigan, Tennessee, and Florida? A giant conspiracy theory among medical professionals who are also fear mongers? Medical professionals who's schooling, licensure, and years of experience pale in comparison to experts on a sports message board?

 

You're right. It's all covid. Everyone is lying but you. The Hospital administrators, the CDC, doctors, nurses, everyone. Covid is just killing these kids...

Two weeks ago, 7 day average for cases in Florida was 43k, double that of Delta peak.
