My hope is that many more already have it and are building up the antibodies so that they can go back to work!

Why we need massive testing to figure that out. We all want to go back to work, but just naming a date and saying go is crazy.

I am aware of doctors in South Florida who have been collecting these drugs for over 3 weeks as they heard it worked from other professionals. They are very likely putting their license on the line doing so but to them it may have been a life or death scenario with them or a loved one. So this was going on long before Trumps touting the drug.

I would imagine so since that info is readily being discussed on the internet.

For your own good and the good of your family, friends, and community, do not listen Trump regarding public health and the Covid-19 pandemic. His contemptible anti-science ignorance, exaggeration, lying, and riffing all about him is a public health danger.

Instead, you should be listening closely to the scientists and our leading infectious disease experts in government at the NIH/CDC/NIAID such as Dr. Anthony Fauci. Listen to Dr. Mark Olsterholm. To Dr. Emily Landon. To Dr. Mark Lipsitch. To Dr. Ashish Jha. They are they experts. They are the trustworthy ones who understand infectious disease far more than any of us.

Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure,” the woman told NBC.

She said her advice would be: “Don’t take anything. Don’t believe anything. Don’t believe anything that the president says and his people … call your doctor.”

    1) Very stupid people
    2) words matter when they come from the POTUS

In hindsight he could have chosen his words a little better for the less informed people of this world but is there really anyone on this forum who would take a pill designed for a fish tank thinking it was the same thing you would get from your pharmacy?

Well, sooner than later doesn't really address the point Fever and I were discussing. I think everybody wants to get people back to work sooner than later. But 7 days from yesterday isn't realistic, as the guy Fever quoted was arguing.

    I highly doubt it.
There are alot of scared(many seniors), ill informed people in the country that believe what the POTUS says as truth.
I say POTUS as in the position not just Trump.

The problem is in a nation of 327,000,000+, 45,000/wk isn't nearly enough. At this rate and technique of testing it would take like 100 years to get the necessary number of tests.

The medical system needs literally millions of tests. NYC alone has 11 million people. With the situation in NYC now, basically every single human being should be tested to identify who has it, and in order to be "cleared" you are supposed to have at least two negatives spaced weeks apart. It would also be useful if they could determine who HAD it, i.e. who already has the antibodies, but I'm not sure if that is captured in these tests they are talking about it.

The aquarium pharmaceuticals by and large are made in the same laboratories as the ones dispensed to humans. I had a salt water aquarium for years, purchased antibiotics at a aquarium store or even eBay, peeled off the warning labels and Googled the manufacturers. They are made at the same labs.

People purchasing common antibiotics such as amoxicillin from aquarium suppliers for human use is relatively common.

8% of those tested in Escambia County came back positive. Well over 1,000 tested and only 130 or so processed. The results are lagging by 8 days at least. So by the time you get it, you are one of the very unlucky ones and dead or in the vast majority and over it. This virus is all over. Tests will never catch up.

People need to wash their hands and sanitize regularly, not visit sick, elderly, or medical staff, not hang out in groups, and stay home when they are sick.

Valid points but I thought the two neg tests had to be 24 hours apart.
