What a ridiculous post. It is clear you have no understanding how health works. You have no clue if she would have died had she got the vaccine. You have no clue if she would have had a reaction to the new drugs.

I have never claimed anyone will not die from this disease if they are healthy. I have only stood by the data that shows the healthy are low risk from this disease.

It is sad you want to politicize this. I thought you would be better than this.

Maybe you can politicize this young healthy fully vaccinated 19 year old who died of Covid?:rolleyes:

21-year-old fully-vaccinated UGA student dies of COVID-19, according to family

Maryland was doing so well in its fight against COVID...now Hogan has just issued a state of emergency for 30 days. Unfortunately, only impact at work is we now have to wear a mask unless we're eating/drinking.

They are speculating on the types they had (delta and omicron) based on the timing and details of their respective infections. But I know they both had negative PCR tests between infections. Definitely reinfected with covid after 2.5 months.

So much for infected immunity. My unvaccinated sister in law has been infected twice in less than 5 months.

And I fully support vaccination & feel they're helpful. Perhaps my experience is colored by living up here but, yes, it has been politicized by BOTH parties, used for bargaining with teacher's unions, crackdowns on businesses who weren't enforcing mask mandates or occupancy allowances, yet democratic leaders having hockey tournaments, golf/beer parties, using Covid funds for overtime for a SALARY position, etc. I've seen it repeatedly on here where the "only" unvaccinated are deemed to be Republicans or Trumpers, and it's the Democrats alone who are good, vaccinated, and can save the day. It's simplistic & naive for people to deal in absolutes like that.

If the prior CDCs issues stemmed from Trump's ineptitude, where does this current CDCs complete failure in proper guidance stem from? Biden took the hardline about vaccine mandates, some states like NY ran with it making it worse, only to have to tell sick workers "hey, good news, if you're sick you still get to work. Just wear a mask".

Frankly all of us who are vaccinated are sick of saying that they work. No, it's not the true immunity one thinks of with the word vaccine, but it does help a lot. Whoever wanted the shot has gotten it. Focus on therapeutics & improving the vaccines. Enough with forcing people.

Highly unlikely it’s reinfection with Omicron 2.5 months after a delta infection. Can’t claim impossible but very unlikely.

If you said 5-6 months, I could see that but not 2.5 months unless both are immune compromised.

A few studies out now showing T and B cell response from prior infection and vax showing good protection against Omicron

Positive and asymptomatic means the immune system is working. This happens all the time with other diseases, but we don’t know it because we don’t test. It means that the immune system is keeping you from getting sick Whole it clears the infection.

Vaccinations and prior infection provides good protection against severe symptoms for Omicron. Not initial infection. It takes a bit for the t cells to get busy.

T cells fit to tackle Omicron, suggests new study

That was very early in the process when the world had little understanding of the method of transmission. It was assumed at that time that primary transmission was via contact. Obviously that changed as they learned more

2.5 months out though? B cells likely still all over. Forget about the fact that antibody levels should still be very high.

If you read the article (among others), Omicron evades antibodies from prior infections and the vaccine. That's why reinfections are so high.

Great. I was getting tired of omicron. Good news is that I assume since this was discovered in France it probably just makes you want to go on vacation

Sharla Brook Kuhn, who confirmed that he had been vaccinated but did not give any information about any preexisting conditions or when he received his shots. Channel 2 could not independently verify his vaccination status.

The vaccine isn't perfect and as stated above, there was no confirmation that he was vaccinated, just a claim by his sister who refused to provide any other details about when or what vaccine.

Do you have any understanding of the % of ICU patients that are vaccinated versus unvaccinated or do you just refuse to acknowledge those numbers? Deaths of vaccinated vs unvaccinated? You are on the wrong side of this but are so dug in you refuse to acknowledge the numbers
