59% WOW increase could be anything? I'm sure it's the depression of the Brown's two game losing streak that's causing the increase in pediatric hospitalizations in Ohio.

And your chart only goes out 28 days. And as the CDC states, many post COVID conditions don't show up until four or more weeks after initial infection.

Although most people with COVID-19 get better within weeks of illness, some people experience post-COVID conditions. Post-COVID conditions are a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after first being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19
The risk is higher the first 4 weeks post infection or post 2nd vaccination. But overall, the risk is higher post infection, as your link states.

You keep boosting your kids. Oh, and after 12 weeks, good luck, better be ready to boost up and increase that myocarditis risk some more! Some people just don't give a crap about their kids wellbeing.

Florida doesn’t plan to open COVID testing sites amid surge, Orange County official says

Orange County officials said Wednesday the state has balked at opening testing sites amid a tidal wave of demand and denied a request this week for four flashing signs to help provide information to people in miles-long lines.

A state testing site, like one that was operated at the Orange County Convention Center in 2020, would alleviate stress on locally run sites, said Danny Banks, the county’s public safety director.

“We have been asking the state for weeks now if the state would, or intended to, open testing sites,” Banks said Wednesday evening. “The state clarified again today they have no intention … That’s the absolute biggest thing we need help with right now.”

So no explanation on the rising pediatric hospitalizations. And no admission that the myocarditis risk is greater with infection, as your own study clearly states. Maybe if you're only worried about myocarditis in your kid's next 28 days, you don't vaccinate. But if you're worried beyond 28 days, better to vaccinate.

They want people to wait on absurd lines to prepare them for the GOP governed state's voting system.

There is no benefit to the reduction in cases if it comes at the cost of increased sickness and death.

It isn't from Covid. How many other people do you need. Do you you just choose to not look at the chart? If you have teen boys, under no circumstances save a large underlying condition should you vaccinate boys. You refuse to discuss the fact close to 40% of kids according the CDC in May of 2021 already have had covid and was probably over 60% by end of summer, yet you want to vaccinate kids and increase their risk of covid. This is why i refused to discuss before with you when you are so ignorant of that facts staring you in the face. It's ridiculous. You keep fear mongering. The rest of us will live our lives, and anyone with kids who are healthy should never get the vaccine.

Pediatric covid cases are up. Pediatric hospitalizations are up 59% week over week. But the increase in hospitalizations is from what? 5% winter increase from seasonal flu. 10% from flu plus winter weather leading to ice and increase in slips/falls. But 59%? And Covid isn't the reason? Not buying it.

And almost all Pediatric Covid hospitalizations are avoidable with vaccination. And because these kids are unvaccinated, their risk of myocarditis and the more dangerous MIS-C has increased.

You make zero sense. IF the vaccine worked like you think then we wouldn't have any increases in highly vaccinated areas. But that isn't the case. Your argument is literally blown out of the water.

And kids are now out of school, running around. Could be a combination of factors, and i'm sure the flu is a part of it as is RSV. You keep your tin foil hat on thinking everything is awful.

They are now pivoting since the vaccines and mask are proving very ineffective at preventing spread.
Plus, can’t push people any harder, dems have to try and win mid terms and need to slow done the momentum of the pubs.

You must have missed Fauci on the news yesterday. He said they are seeing mostly hospitalizations with Covid, not because of Covid.

Swing and miss again. Vaccines work well against preventing cases against the wild type. Delta changed the game, and now Omicron has changed things even more. Omicron has caused cases to be up, vaccines still do very well at preventing hospilizations. And if the vaccine turns COVID into a mild cold that keeps people out of the hospital, that's a win. Better if the vaccine prevented infection, but preventing hospilizations is still very good.

And @surfn1080, Fauci said we are seeing both an increase in kids in the hospital with COVID, and an increase of kids in the hospital with COVID. And the cases from COVID are almost all avoidable if kids were vaccinated.

And if everyone eligible got vaccinated, we would have less cases, less hospitalizations, and less deaths. What's so bad about that? And how is that statement being a fear monger?

Everyone eligible? Lot's wrong with that. IF you said adults who didn't already have immunity, then i'd agree with you. But you refuse to acknowledge natural immunity and refuse to follow the WHO guideline of vaccinating the world before having boosters here in the states. You and others don't understand that a lot of countries can't even get the vaccine for their endangered populations. Since you refuse to have those discussions then it's useless going forward trying to have a rational conversation with you. Some things don't change. You continue to fear monger. The rest of us in free areas will live their lives normally.

The increase is going to happen anytime you have a spike. Now we have spikes more than double of the delta wave. Sheer numbers will naturally come with hospitalizations.

More and more data suggesting vaccines are not helping against infection of Omicron.

Kids already had very low risk of serious illness.
UK and SA reports that delta is 2-5 times less sever than Delta with the younger you are, the less sever.

NBA finally following the science and going to a 30 threshold on PCR tests. The data showing 30 should be the top level has been around for well over a year now. Crazy we still use 40 in a lot of areas. Next level stupid.

ESPN Sources: The NBA and NBPA have agreed on new protocols that would allow Covid-positive players to clear isolation after five days if “CT values” are above 30. That lowers threshold from seven days and CT values above 35.

How many adults had an asymptomatic case and may have immunity and don't know it? What's the harm in those who already had COVID in getting the vaccine? And kids? They get COVID, spread COVID, and more are ending up in the hospital. Mostly avoidable with the vaccine.
