lit is quite common for athletes to spread it amongst themselves.

Conversely why should it be permitted for a “healthy” person to spread it amongst everybody else? Do you have an inherent right to spread disease?

My opinion is they are scared to follow the tunnel vision groupthink created by the media and public health officials. They fear the backlash and honestly I think many are just going silent on the issue now.

I saw my doctor recently on September 30th to go over blood work. The thing was he asked if I wanted a flu shot (I said No). And we chatted as we went through the visit. After about 15 minutes and he had done all his checks we were done. He did not even bring up Covid and the vaccine. To which I said I wanted to discuss Covid. I had to bring it up as he was not going to. And I wanted to discuss it as I had questions for multiple things. Which told me that the vaccine discussion was of little importance to him. In the discussion he informed me that I am low risk. He said that he only had confidence in the Moderna vaccine. He had recently lost a patient fully vaccinated. He said as a doctor he would recommend it. My take away was that his vaccine endorsement as a doctor was that healthy people should take it if they want to and not take it if they do not want to (I do think he would have a different approach with someone who is unhealthy but that is just my feeling based on our relationship/I have a great doctor patient relationship and would highly recommend my doctor). The importance of the vaccine was so high to him that he was not even going to discuss it.

My kids were just in for their well visits. My oldest they asked she would like a Covid vaccine and that was it (No was the answer for my kids). My younger two went together and they did not even ask. No to the flu shot for all of them as well. Yes our kids are up to date on all the vaccines that are recommended with long term data.

Neighbor just took her two in for their well visit. Covid was not discussed.

I think silence is becoming a bigger answer to how doctors are approaching this as they do not want the people who have been scared so bad that they think every unvaccinated person is walking around with Covid all day every day to scream and make a scene.

Now doctors on TV...it will be different.

Please explain why a healthy person at little to no risk should force their body into action when it is not necessary.
Several reasons:
    1. Lower the risk of contracting COVID
    2. Lowers community spread. As you say, if you remain healthy, you cannot infect others. Vaccinated people are more likely not to get the virus
    3. Lower the risk of new variants. Less people infected, less copies, less mutations, less variants

Do you not wear a seatbelt because it doesn't provide 100% protection against dying in a car accident? The vaccine isn't perfect. No vaccine has ever been. But what provides a person better protection not only for himself, but the community against COVID than the vaccine? And vaccinated are just as capable of spreading COVID. Several studies have shown this. Being vaccinated lowers the risk of getting the disease in the first place. And those with a breakthrough case rid themselves of the virus days faster than unvaccinated, meaning vaccinated people are less contagious. And with a disease where the asymptomatic can spread it, this is important.

The virus reduces everyone's risk of getting the virus, reduces hospitalizations and deaths. I've answered your questions. Can you answer why this is a bad thing now?
I think you are getting there...a covid positive vaccinated or unvaccinated person can spread covid. And a person who does not have covid vaccinated or unvaccinated will not spread covid.

Why should it be permitted that a vaccinated person be able to spread the disease to everyone else.

First a healthy person is not going to spread it.

Second the vaccinated spread this just like the unvaccinated.

I know some believe the perpetrated myth that the vaccinated do not spread the disease and only the unvaccinated do. But that is just not the case.

Interesting. He did say as a doctor he'd recommend it.

Perhaps the thing has become so politicized they don't want to debate it with patients. Most have made up their mind one way or other.

Bottom line he did say he'd recommend it. But apparently you know something he doesn't.

How can you tell the difference between a healthy person and an asymptomatic person, contagious with COVID? Now, between a vaccinated person and an unvaccinated person, which is more likely to healthy, and which is more likely to have COVID? Last question, between an unvaccinated, asymptomatic, unvaccinated person and a vaccinated asymptomatic person, which is going to be contagious longer?

You are refusing to answer my question, even though I answered yours. Why is reducing the number of cases, hospitalizations, deaths, and spread of COVID through vaccinations a bad thing?

One last thing. Please stop spreading the misinformation that vaccinated people spread COVID just as much as unvaccinated. Or do I need to post the several studies that show that vaccinated people are less likely to get sick in the first place (and you can't spread COVID if you don't have it), and vaccinated people who do get COVID rid themselves of the virus days faster than unvaxxed, meaning they are contagious for a significantly less time?

I found out recently why my wife never contracted Covid from me....even though my viral load was off the charts, because I had the vaccine, for some reason it prevented her or anyone else from contracting it from me. Interesting info. Was the virus in me different than the normal Covid? That's one theory I have never heard the medical community answer.

It is not that I know something he does not. He as a doctor because I brought the subject up gave me a broad answer that he as a doctor would recommend it.

In the whole of the discussion he informs me that he does not have confidence in two of the three drugs out there in the US. That is huge information. I would love to know others who have had conversations with their doctors ask them about things like that. I know the three drugs are different. Yet we tell everyone to just get what is available. That is the antithesis of Medicine. We should be looking at what works. What does not. Each persons situation.

The asymptomatic thing needs to just end. They are not major concerns with spread. There is the presymptomatic issue but that is still not a major concern but could be helpful when someone becomes symptomatic to let others know.

It is time to move on with life. The vaccinated and unvaccinated are going to continue to get this disease and spread it. Like any other virus or illness people can make smart decisions based on their community and situations. If you are in Florida right now and get a cold...you probably have a cold but based on individual circumstances should get tested or move on. If you are in Michigan or a high Covid positive state right now and have a cold you should be more on top of checking to see if it is Covid. In the summer it would be flipped for the two states I just used as an example.

Someone recently posted a study showing vaccinated and unvaccinated tested positive the same number of days.

And the infectious rate was the same as well.

The only difference was vaccinated were less likely to get more severe disease.

The healthy spread it if they get it. It is just retarded not to acknowledge that. This is one of those flat out lies you keep repeating.

Nobody is saying vaccinated do not spread it. Some may underestimate the degree they do. Whatever the case the vaccinated are less likely to get it in the first place. You can't spread what you don't have.

I think what some have issue is the fact that everybody can spread it and vaccinated seemingly are held on a pedestal in some quarters, when in reality they may be less likely to have it they can spread it as well and may in fact have a false sense of security since they are vaccinated, whereas an unvaccinated person may be more cautious.

It's a plausible theory, but I'm not sure vaccinated are more careless than unvaccinated. I'd tend to think the opposite.

Why, I know what you may say. However watching people who are vaccinated saying how safe they feel and now they can go out about their lives makes me think they feel more protected and thus would be less cautious.
