These are best estimates as well. Why the hell are we vaxxing kids for 67/57 ratio. That is crazy.

I'm literally quoting CDC studies findings, so how am I ignoring the science? Again, you are gaslighting to deflect from the weakness of your arguments. To your stupid test, again, it is exactly what I said that you were doing: ignoring population sizes of those two groups. I know far more people who have been vaccinated than who have been infected with Covid once. So that is a nonsense test, as you are ignoring the relevant population size. For people that claim to engage in critical thinking, you are showing 0/2 on your own beliefs.

Because vaccines aren't just about the individual. But about the herd. Vaccines may be only a small benefit to kids, but could save the life of a grandparent, because the vaccine prevents the kid from catching the virus and infecting the grandparent. Get enough people vaccinated, and the entire herd gets protected.

Did you know many of those countries have stopped count covid deaths. Russia hardly did it at all so don’t count on the validity

A very good mask may be 80% effective but the stupid cloth ones that most kids and people wear now are like 10% effective. that’s a joke

Are you saying cloth masks are 10% effective?

Again, the Anonymous Internet Expert weighs in. The real experts, like Pediatricians at Duke and UAB Medical have a different opinion.

For families with babies or grandparents or other vulnerable people — like an immunocompromised family member — at home, vaccinating your young children as soon as they're eligible will help keep those people safe.

Especially if you are having family members or friends in for the holidays, keep in mind that "it is safer to gather in a fully vaccinated environment than not," Kalu says. "So even in just the interest of keeping your small community safe as you gather over the holidays, it may be good to get kids vaccinated prior to that."
What you call fear mongering, I call solid, medical logic and following the real experts.

All these mask effective studies do not account for human behavior. The mask is nothing but political theater and virtue signaling when it comes to slowing the spread of this virus.

But if it makes one feel better about themself for wearing it…go for it is my take.

And that would make the cloth or neck warmer even less effective.
most kids in schools have those and that is my point it’s for theater when someone wears one.

I have to go to Boston for a large alzheimer’s conference this week they still require masks inside. Stupid IMHO but I’ll have one of those to make the rule makers happy, until we are all in the bar after hours without them. Just have to be drinking….

We were in Gatlinburg for Spring Break this past year. Dollywood opened that week so we went with family friends. That was an experience. I got in trouble 4 times walking outside for not having a mask on (my cloth buff). So I grabbed my buddies empty refill cup and that solved the problem. Left me alone after that. Later I did get a coffee and after I finished we were waiting in line and my 8 rear old tried to grab my cup and throw it in the trash can we were passing. When I told him no he looked perplexed. Told him the mask and he goes ahhh and nods his head with approval.

Anyone over 18 should be vaccinated. Anyone under, nope. Not going to keep arguing with the guy who said 100% of the US children will have had covid by next year. You vax your kid and let your child be the guinea pig. I'll wait until there is full fda approval, like a normal parent and not a fear monger.

I suggest you don't do that. To each their own.

And I guarantee you those are best-case estimates...
Kids already had almost zero chance of being hospitalized from covid.

With that said, I don't care if a parent wants to vaccinate their children. That is up to them to decide. I am 1000% against any mandate that requires children to be vaccinated in order to attend public or private schools.

It's bad enough when you littering the thread with your partial anti vax theories but now you are engaging in repetitive name calling. I suggest you stop.

It's really bad that some posters continue to make up crap and try to create an unnecessary panic. I'll be here to call them out. Have a great day.
