Have to love the quote from the FDA voter:"We're never gonna learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it."

If that doesn't inspire you to run out and get your kid vaccinated I don't know what will. What a complete joke.

Have you said 'my bad' on your claim that covid-19 isn't a disease yet? Until you do, you probably shouldn't be calling on others to do it themselves, or people might just think you're a hypocrite.

My bad. Let me know when you say “my bad” for wanting lockdowns and school closures.

Rich coming from the guy who cites one study, calls it definitive, and either ignores the evidence to the contrary or calls it garbage without even reading it.

Like this study showing as much as 1/3 of COVID cases resulted in no antibodies. Even if that number is off by a factor, can we test it and know for sure? How many people had mild cases that were never recorded, resulted in no antibodies, and what a person thinks is a first infection is really a second? Impossible to know.

What isn't impossible to know? Who got vaccinated, when, and by which vaccine. And considering the mixed data around natural immunity, it's best to be sure.

Lockdowns worked. Why would I say 'my bad' for that? Virtually everywhere where there was a shutdown, cases declined rapidly after the shutdown had time to take effect. As for schools, as we have discussed, I have one post in this entire thread where I said it could get bad in the schools. It didn't. So I was wrong there.

The fact that someone rated his post as “informative” is absurd but not surprising.

It is not even close when it comes to which of these two drugs have cost more. Without taking into account the cost to administer the drugs which would make the vaccines quite a bit more costly considering the numbers…we have spent far more on the vaccines. Then you add in the fact that quite a few (we should be able to get these numbers) of those seeking the monoclonal treatments are fully vaccinated. It was over 50% at one point at the south Florida facilities that were fully vaccinated. And we can quit trying to imply the unvaccinated are doing something wrong.

The good news is we have multiple ways to navigate this disease.

For those that actually care about real world data. Here is some data on natural immunity in children. Those numbers should be up significantly now with Delta having gone thru a lot of the country.

I hope parents read the data from the trial for the EUA for young children.
Pfizer's trial for 5-11 year olds had only 2268 kids and they were only followed for 2 months. There were no cases of severe covid in the control group and we have no long-term safety data for the vaccine group. Many parents will have no idea how incomplete this trial really was. I know zero parents who are in a rush to get their young kid vaccinated for something that is basically zero risk.

I wish people that pushed for vaccine mandates shared your line of thinking here.

That's just in the EUA. The total trial number, worldwide, was 4,500. And it's never easy picking a trial number. You want one large enough to get a representative population. But not too large that if something goes horribly wrong, it doesn't affect too many.

And here's one parent, me, actively looking to make an appointment for my 8-year old. There have been pediatric deaths from COVID, and no deaths reported in kids from the vaccine. The rate of myocarditis from the vaccine is lower than the rate seen in pediatric COVID cases, and over 95% of vaccine related myocarditis goes away on its own with nothing more than a little rest and monitoring.

Kids are also part of the herd. Getting them vaccinated adds to herd immunity numbers. The more kids vaccinated, heck, the more people vaccinated, the better protection we all have. And I'd like my kids to be able to spend time with their grandparents, age 78 and turning 80 this weekend.

Wait. Did this poster seriously just compare the costs of vaccine/mab in total? As if 12.8 million people getting the vaccine is the same as .75 million for mab. Perhaps I read that incorrectly. No one can be that unaware. Seems figures don't lie but.....!

Yep. Now we have people defending such a small sample trial size. You can almost count the number of healthy kids who have died from Covid on 1 hand. I sincerely hope nothing happens to these kids down the line from the vaccine. I just can't fathom injecting something that isn't fully FDA approved in my kids when they are at zero risk. I can guarantee my kids won't be getting it anytime soon. I guess i'll let other kids be the guinea pigs. Oh, and those complaining about myocarditis, the vaccine doesn't prevent kids from getting covid and only works for an extremely short period of time. Just a dumb decision unless someone's child has underlying issues.

Yes. A poster pointed out that is has been far more expensive to run the uncontrolled vaccine push out when comparing it to now also uncontrolled monoclonal push out.

And yes. The vaccine is not slowing the spread. Way too many places with extremely high vaccination rates spiking. And yes you can find a low vaccinated population spiking as well. The virus is going to virus. Unfortunately these vaccines were not as good as they were sold. Let’s hope the long term safety data was worth the decision to push this on everyone verse the people who needed it and controlling the studies for those at less risk. For now booster up with whatever concoction of vaccines you want. Or don’t get one. And if you get Covid unfortunately…get the monoclonal treatment whether you are vaccinated or not.

Even assuming they were equally effective at keeping people out of hospitals:

(a)The vaccines cost like $20/unit, take basically a minute, and can be administered at any pharmacy.

(b)The monoclonal antibodies cost $2000/unit, and take 3+ hours to administer via IV, hence the need for specialized clinics if done outside a hospital setting.

Suggesting people need not get vaccinated because of the possibility of treatment b will never not be moronic. It’s pretty obvious vaccination is the front-line of defense, which is why we spent more in total. You can do mass vaccinations to a population, you can’t deliver 200,000,000 3 hour IV treatments. That should be obvious. The IV delivered anti-bodies are a backup treatment for those that actually get infected, but the window of usefulness is narrow (people with early infection that have risk factors may want to seek that out). Vaccines are mathematically beneficial for everybody.

In the video Rogan's tech people put up the statement from his doctor.

That seems different from what the headline is saying.
