While the data clearly indicate a previous Covid infection is more protective than vaccines alone, allowing one's self to become infected is not exactly the most rational strategy for protection against a future Covid-19 infection. Additionally, the medical consensus seems to be that most effective protection for previously infected individuals is vaccination following infection rather relying solely on natural immunity.
Why people who already had Covid should still get vaccinated

Yes, Vax those who have natural immunity after you Vax everyone else in the world. That’s how they should’ve prioritized things. Oh and don’t Vax kids under 18 unless they have underlying conditions.

There you go again with providing no data to back up your assertions and then citing your personal anecdotal experience as if it’s evidence of anything meaningful.

If you can’t figure out that the elderly and those with underlying health issues are the real people who are at risk from this disease based on the data. Then that is on you.

From there I have posted data showing why some would be be slow to want to take a new drug knowing they are at low risk. Add in the ignoring of natural immunity.

People should take the drug if they want it healthy or unhealthy. But the idea it should be forced on someone healthy or unhealthy is just wrong and evil.

I think having antibodies should count the same as being vaccinated, but the problem is to get the antibodies you have to get COVID first. The vaccine is a good way to prevent you from getting COVID.

Could you include a link to the actual study this is based on?

Agree, but those who already have had COVID don’t need the vaccine. Vaccinate the rest of the whole, leave kids alone. Stop masking as it doesn’t work. Problem solved.

Yeah, I mean it’s not as great as Pfizer, heck look at Israel data. Are they on shot 3 or 4 now?

Every idiot in this country preferring horse paste or "ma antibodies!" over a free and safe vaccine looks really smart begging for their lives in an ICU.

Meanwhile, their thought leaders on Fox News are all vaccinated as that company requires it.

    Sad.

Other variants are out there now and I stand by my statement as to the efficacy of the current vaccines and studies completed to date. You can state I'm asking for the impossible but current development of vaccines has stalled. This is the issue. As time goes by we all agree more variants will appear and the efficacy rates of the currents vaccines will diminish even more so than they have to date.

Thank you for restating my issue with the current vaccines and varying degrees of efficacy.

Or i'll come back with the real data. NY should be proud to be bottom 3 on deaths. FL is 29th. Not great, not terrible. Must suck to be wrong so much.

what’s the point if 30% of the adult population refuses to take them? The vaccines are still protecting against severe illness and death. Smart people will take the boosters. Idiots will die.

That's exactly what 30% of the population is saying. What's the point. Vaccinated people are dying as well. There are no guarantees in life other than death and taxes and how people choose to live their lives is their business.

Dude - the vast majority of people dying are unvaccinated. Still plenty of reason to get vaxxed from a personal stand point. If you get the vaccine you're safe. But there is no point in developing new vaccines that are better at preventing the spread of the virus if 30% of the population won't take them.

Unvaccinated people have an 11 times higher risk of dying from COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people, according to new data posted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The data run through August and are from 16 health departments representing about 30 percent of the U.S. population, the CDC said.

In addition, the data show that unvaccinated people have a six times higher chance of testing positive for COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people do.

CDC data: Unvaccinated 11 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than fully vaccinated
