Actually, covid killed more people in Florida alone in the last 2 weeks than died on 9/11.

The CDC reveals how much the delta variant really infects fully vaccinated people (msn.com)

Here’s a breakdown of the COVID-19 numbers for those states:

    • Not fully vaccinated: 569,142 (92%) COVID-19 cases, 34,972 (92%) hospitalizations and 6,132 (91%) COVID-19–associated deaths.
    • Vaccinated people: 46,312 (8%) cases, 2,976 (8%) hospitalizations and 616 (9%) deaths.
The study said that during the specific time frame of April 4–June 19, fully vaccinated people accounted for 5% of total COVID-19 cases, 7% of COVID-19 hospitalizations and 8% of deaths overall.

    • These percentages were higher during June 20 to July 17 time frame, when fully vaccinated people accounted for 18% of cases, 14% of hospitalizations and 16% of deaths, per the CDC.

Your comparisons to Mengele are despicable and offensive. I am not going to make this thread about Mengele, so i am not going to show the differences here

Joseph Mengele is not Nazi trivia. One of the most evil people who ever lived. His name is well known.

Interesting data, but I'm not sure how useful it is until you put it in a relative basis and age stratify it. They say 18% of june/July was vaccinated, and higher than expected, but it isn't clear if they age adjusted it. Older people tend to be more vaccinated, and much more vulnerable.

When you write that vaccines don't prevent any spread, you are wrong and not just offering a different view of how to do things.

When our local hospitals were over capacity, our local facebook groups were full of people mad that the hospitals were making up numbers and falsifying covid tests.

I don't know what hope there is for us at this point. We live in increasingly different realities.

If the situation in the US is actually that dire, why zero talk about flattening the curve, why no lockdowns, why no closing all non essential businesses, why packed football and baseball stadiums, why the resumption of packed concerts? Talk about not living in reality...

Because half the country is vaccinated. Particularly older people who are the most vulnerable. Have you ever read DeSantis’ order reopening the state? It refers to the effectiveness and availability of the vaccines. Apart from that, where the virus is causing hospitals to be overrun like they are, the governors of those states are now anti-mitigation measures. Since you bounce back and forth in these threads, I assume you haven’t read the links addressing the situations in hospitals? And the nursing shortages? I am not going to re-link the articles and stories in overrun hospitals and cancelations of elective and other procedures here again. I am tired of repeating myself. Nor would it make a bit of difference. Finally, your reasoning is post-hoc. We are not engaging in public health mitigation measures; that proves we don’t need them? False. That proves the governors of certain states are appealing to those on fantasy land. For example, in some states, like New York, you have to show proof of vaccination to go to a show or certain buildings or to games or to the US Open etc. You have actually identified a reason why the virus is so much worse in certain states (like the red south) than others. It is the absence of public health measures. And, j am sure you never considered where we would be if the vulnerable population (older people) were not vaccinated in such high numbers? Here is a great idea? Why don’t you offer to visit the sick? Come to south Florida and see if they will even let you in the door at a hospital to do so.

Well you guys certainly don't disappoint, every thing is always somehow a pubs fault. I'm sure you can cherry pick some hospitals that are having a rough time and the cancellation of elective surgeries are done for keeping beds available in case they are needed.
As far as the condescending part about visiting sick patients in the hospital, that has been a no go since last February, at least here in my area of Florida and our home health agency cares for and has cared for hundreds of covid patients over the past year and a half, so I think we've done our part. This Florida's time to spike time so I guess since NY is the only state currently requiring passports it will remain to be seen if it has any affect when their covid season cranks up soon.

It's not looking great right now.

Here's something to research. When did these "wet market" viruses start popping up ever single winter/season?

All are from China and all are supposedly from animals that had their unchanged DNA make viruses that effected humans. These are crossover viruses... I bet Fauci was tinkering around in Wuhan way back then.

We know that Glaxosmithkline and now Pfizer are both part owners of the lab in Wuhan that designed the Corona virus.

THAT KIND OF EXPERIMENTATION IS ILLEGAL IN THE U.S.A..

And ICUs are filling up with A) unvaxxed with COVID or B) Vaccinated with rare side effects? The answer is A.

Over 5 billion jabs of COVID vaccine given world wide. And the unvaxxed are clogging up hospitals at over a 9:1 rate.
