I may have said this before but the person that administered monoclonals to my mother in law has had covid 3x's. The 3rd infection required them to go on a vent

So now we are trying to gloss over a very large study. Show me where it doesn't work. Just so everyone else can see for themselves, here is the data. Don't fall for this person's obvious agenda.

Do you know if there's been any follow ups since Delta emerged?

Community spread for kids under 8 was significantly small with the wild type. With Delta, there have been no research done, but the number of pediatric cases coupled with the increase in pediatric hospitalizations suggests there is transmission of Delta between kids. Regardless, transmission between those 12 and over happens with both the wild type and with Delta. So the statement community spread for kids isn't an issue is false. Especially when we are talking about current vaccine eligible, which is 12 and older.

And decent sized risk for CAE? 166.2 hospitalizations out of 1 million cases is a decent sized risk? Admit it, if the risk for COVID hospitalizations were this low, you would still be advocating to keep schools open.

The reason to have kids vaccinated are the same reasons to get everyone vaccinated. Herd immunity to protect everyone. Reduces the risk of new variants too.

Last, there are still no deaths associated with the vaccine for kids. And CAE/myocarditis usually heals itself in a manner of weeks, if not sooner. Seems to me the risks are extremely low for the vaccine, and the benefits are greater than the risks.

Not that I know of, but the UK didn't have any larger hospitalization or death percentage increases from Delta. Israel has the most up to date data and is very transparent(something the CDC should emulate).

Here is an article on the Israeli Data.

Protection against Delta: Comparing vaccines and natural immunity

"The findings suggest that natural immunity provides longer-lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease, and hospitalization due to the Delta variant, compared with the protection of the Pfizer-BioNTech two-dose vaccine, the researchers conclude."

It's one study in one country. And you are drawing totally definitive conclusions from it, saying 'For sure natural immunity is vastly superior to just being vaccinated'. I asked if you had anything else outside of this one study in one country and you said you did. You then linked a bunch of studies that don't show that natural immunity is vastly superior to just being vaccinated. You linked studies that don't even ask that question. So you failed. Better luck next time.

Natural immunity may well be much better than vaccination, but we don't know for sure yet. You can't definitively say based on one study in one country.

They weren't in the hospital just for covid. RSV was running rampant as well. And studies have shown 30-40% of pediatric hospitalizations WITH covid are unrelated to covid. So that's a non-issue. Kid's don't need to be vaccinated. Europe is not vaccinating most kids under 16. That is what the US should be doing. Community spread is low. You do realize we are using a threshold of 40 for PCR tests. That is insane. Anything over 27 isn't active virus. Only kids who are showing symptoms should be quarantining. Herd immunity does protect everyone. Kids getting covid is safer for my kids than the vaccine at this point. Let covid run thru kids. It's still less deadly than the flu for children no matter how much some on here say it isn't. Anyone saying CAE is no big deal either doesn't have kids or is just trying to prove a point. Either way i'm good with where i stand with my kids not getting the vaccine. Not worried about them getting covid, or transmitting to anyone else(anyone who wants the vaccine can get it). So let's move on with life.

How can this be? QGator has repeatedly informed us that the vax doesn't prevent the virus and that vaccinated people spread as much as unvaccinated people. :emoji_thinking:

And you do know, RSV hospitalizations are rare under normal conditions. And is usually a virus that hits November through February. Having this many kids in the hospital with RSV in August/September is unprecedented. But as many as 15% of kids diagnosed with RSV also had COVID, since the two infections are not mutually exclusive. We also know kids with both infections are more likely to have more complications and symptoms. So why would a disease, RSV, that usually doesn't infect kids in the late summer/early hit kids so hard that would cause an unprecedented rise in hospitalizations if it's not COVID?

It's also not uncommon that symptoms of myocarditis are so slight, that it passes completely undetected. The disease is usually more complicated in younger kids, who still have a heart that is being developed. In older kids, the risk is diminished. And again, there have been no pediatric deaths that I can find reported from the vaccine for kids 12 and older. Every child who had myocarditis from the vaccine who ended up in the hospital has recovered, or is recovering. Can we say the same about COVID? Unfortunately, no.

If the risk of myocarditis and CAE from the vaccine is similar in the current studies for kids under 12 are equal, then it may be worth not vaccinating those under 12. Because again, heart issues effect younger kids more than older kids. But the current risk for kids 12 and older is still incredibly small, and the risk of death is greater with COVID. And potentially, so is the risk for hospitalization, as we don't have full Delta numbers. Unless you want to think all the current RSV hospitalizations have nothing to do with COVID.

I believe the rest of the world's medical experts is starting to wake up... These doctors make perfect sense and they have ALL the data that most none of you have. At lest not in their country.

Yeah, that data was really "bad data" LOL. Too bad it proved that natural immunity is greater than vaccination without having had covid. Sorry to break the news to you.

How did it go finding those cases where ivermectin was clogging up ER's in Oklahoma? I"m sure you found that data by now, right? I guess if not you will fix your post, am I right?

No, posting an article that explains the study to those who didn't understand the study itself. Some on here don't seem to be able to grasp what the study shows. Hoping this helps. Doubt it will.
