Look no further than this thread for proof of this phenomenon.

It's one thing to be a denialist while living in a bubble, but to post here for over a year and hold true to one's fairy tales that consistently get destroyed month after month after month... There's simply no other explanation.

No. The only folks rejoicing at this catastrophe of ignorance and rejection of science for the political gain of a subset of folks willing to watch their fellow man die to push their agenda are those who benefit from that agenda.

I will admit that I have a very dear friend who is an emergency doctor who has given his every moment the last year for patients. He admits to losing patience with those diagnosed with covid, perhaps heading to a ventilator or worse, asking if they can get vaccinated now.

This is not for “rejoicing”, related to politics, or political. It is science and civic responsibility.

Being reported now. No talk of vaccines or masks, just throwing more money at generally unqualified subs as teachers get sick. Sound strategy.
Nothing like science deniers on the school board.

Cobb schools to temporarily increase substitute teacher pay

“especially at this point in the pandemic, rejecting its existence purely to save face — social death is still considered worse than actual death.“

Its actually the risk of death, for them and you, is acceptable. We see repeatedly these anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, anti-science types admitting, literally on their death beds, how wrong they were.

You gotta hand it to covid. It has allowed entitled whiney POS to present their spoiled-brattiness as freedom fighting & surviving tyranny, comparing themselves to jews in nazi Germany at times. These clowns really think inconvenience is oppression. & they don't feel any shame.

Texas school system closes after 2 teachers die of COVID-19

WACO, Texas (AP) — A Central Texas school district closed its schools until after the Labor Day holiday Tuesday after two teachers died last week of COVID-19.

Connally Independent School District officials closed its five suburban Waco schools for the rest of the week after the Saturday COVID-19 death of Natalia Chansler, 41, a sixth grade social studies teacher at Connally Junior High School, said Assistant Superintendent Jill Bottelberghe.

Chansler’s death came days after David McCormick, 59, a seventh grade social studies teacher at Connally Junior High, died of COVID-19, Bottelberghe said.

I've found that when you use the quote feature, it makes it hard to read in your post (because of the display).

Any more I just copy and paste, use quotation marks, and italicize.....and even sometimes add color.

    Here ya go......

"Originally conceived as a one-off concert with a message against racism, Rock Against Racism was founded in 1976 by Red Saunders, Roger Huddle, Jo Wreford, Pete Bruno and others. According to Huddle, "it remained just an idea until August 1976", when Eric Clapton made a declaration of support for former Conservative minister Enoch Powell (known for his anti-immigration Rivers of Blood speech) at a concert in Birmingham.[3] Clapton told the crowd that England had "become overcrowded" and that they should vote for Powell to stop Britain from becoming "a black colony".He also told the audience that Britain should "get the foreigners out, get the wogs out, get the coons out", and then he repeatedly shouted the National Front slogan "Keep Britain White".[4][5] Saunders, Wreford and Bruno, who were members of the agit-prop theatre group, Kartoon Klowns, together with Huddle, responded by writing a letter to NME expressing their opposition to Clapton's remarks."

No rejoice but ya know, but I'll admit I can't stop darwin award nominees from coming across my mind.

Seriously though, don't you question the [can't write the eff'd word] up thinking that has led so many to consciously choose to place themselves at much higher risk of illness and death for no rational reason? Might be some truth to the pub party being a death cult.

I was dismissing some as just ignorant, but I look at people like my accounting manager. She isn't stupid and is also well educated but she keeps dropping stupid comments like she did yesterday saying she wasn't getting vaxxed because most MDs aren't, and "that should tell you something".
I sent her a link from the AMA showing around 96% of MDs were vaxxed, and she just mumbled and moved on to other misinformed stuff. It's really odd.

We are all the main character in our own lives, and lots of people want their own "Soylent Green is People" scene.

When you have republican political leaders and other conservative influencers pushing vaccine and covid disinformation, to a fairly massive and pliant number of people drinking their disinfo kool aid, it's hard not to think of it as a death cult. So, you can give me all the come on man's you want, the problem is not in my perception. but what is going disturbingly wrong on the right side of the political aisle

They are doing things that result in the avoidable deaths of their disciples, isn't that what death cults do?
