The last two holdouts in my office got vaccinated this week. I guess they got tired of wearing masks.

LOL. The ol' strawman argument. Just a little bit of advice. When the kids without covid have more symptoms than the covid+ kids, it's best to take the L and move on. This is beyond embarrassing for you. Anyone with any rational thought would see thru the "long covid" bs. But hey, you keep on "eviscerating" me LOL. There isn't long covid in kids.

Or we can play your game. I'll contend there is long covid as long as you agree kids without covid have even "longer covid". See, I don't want to be too rigid. Let's do it your way. There is a very small sample of covid+ kids who think they have "long covid", just not nearly as many kids who have "longer covid" that are covid-.

Again, you are missing the point. Other illnesses cause long haul symptoms too! Certain flu bugs can cause a persistent cough for 3 to 8 weeks after recovery. The fact the other illnesses cause long haul symptoms does not mean COVID didn't cause the 4.4% of long haul in the British study.

And again, the study has flaws. It relied in self reporting, didn't count all symptoms, and the many of the kids that may have been positive couldn't be counted as such under the study's criteria. The study also does not discuss severity and length of the 4.4% of kids it did find had COVID long haul. In other words, while interesting, this study is far from definitive. But you like what it has to say, so you'll ignore all the potential issues and keep on quoting it as gospel.

From your own link: oops....so, not a lockdown. Some of the overly dramatic snowflakes have no idea what hardship is via lockdown. Maybe I should ask my co-workers who were trapped in Hubei Province last Jan-Feb to describe what a "Lock Down" is vs. largely ineffective, half-arse measures taken in the US.

So I see you decide what constitutes a lockdown. Didn't realize you are the czar of lockdowns. My bad...

If we had done that (full lock down over the short-term) in March 2020, it would have been more effective than the policy we chose and would have allowed a much more open past year. We chose to half measure it. You can search my posts from back in those days on this thread. We had two options to actually getting this under control: 1. Hard lockdown like they did in China; 2. A testing, isolating, and quarantining regime like they did in South Korea. Those were the two policies that got this under control. We failed at #2 due to a lack of testing. We chose option 3, the half measure, which has been far less effective.

I preferred option 2 but the failure of the Trump administration cut that off as an option. Yes, a full lockdown for a few weeks is a better policy than stay at home orders, school closures, etc. for months and would have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Wuhan had large music festivals by August 2020 that weren't associated with huge outbreaks. The US is still struggling with that. Pulling the band aid off quickly was a better policy than what we did.

We are wearing masks in common areas even if vaccinated. I started even before it became policy

Is there more than like 1-2 anti-vaxxers on this forum?

No, but any hint of disagreement will get you labeled as such.

You just got called out in your own false statement about no long COVID in kids and then posted a flawed study showing a certain percentage of kids with long COVID. Either you are confused or you seriously don't understand the study. Then you don't even acknowledge the multitude of data that I provided talking about long COVID in kids. What's hilarious is you planting your flag on an observational study that relies on parents providing the info. And then I point out that the majority of those parents provided incomplete data. You won't address that because you know this study is weak and flawed. LOL How about you post another study that corroborates what this study says? Or better yet lets see a Systematic Review or Meta-Analysis. My guess is you'll respond with a bunch of excuses and fallacies as to why they don't exist or you'll just follow up with a few ad hominem attacks.

Please, when directly addressing the czar, begin and end all communication with "Your greatness". When discussing the czar, the words the czar should be preceded by "his greatness".

    Thanks.

You “guess” that’s what he’ll do, yeah you must be new around here. No guessing necessary, it will 100% happen exactly as you’ve stated, I have zero doubt.

Show me the study where "long covid" in children is significantly more than in the control group of children who didn't have covid. Go ahead, I'll wait. You wanted another study? Oops. Now you will ask for another LOL. Keep it up, you are on a real hot streak sport.

Swiss study suggests very low prevalence of long COVID in pediatric population
