Are there folks that will balk? Sure. I’m personally aware of a surgeon here in Melbourne who refuses to get vaccinated. Not only that but he had Covid last year and continued operating on patients while he was Covid positive!

 

The CDC should just stick to what they do best, killing the cruise and small family landlord industries.

 

It wouldn't be short term. The nursing shortage is pretty chronic despite nursing schools pumping out nurses more and more. It could make a bad situation worse. There have been myriad studies linking increased morbidity and mortality with low staffing. So what you could end up with are hospitals filling up with more acute patients while at the same time increasing stresses on an already over taxed staff.

Only around 20% of nurses belong to unions so I'm not so sure how strong of an effect that would have. And it's not just the nurses that haven't gotten vaccinated. It's the ancillary staff too. The cleaning and food staff play a huge part in the every day running of a hospital. Same with schedulers, techs and transport. That's where the highest percentage of the un-vaccinated work.

COVID spreading fast in well-vaccinated California counties

Covid cases rising in highly vaccinated areas and falling in lower vaccinated areas. Interesting news for sure.

 

More great news. Hopefully this will be the last wave.

 

In the highly vaccinated areas the case rate is still much higher in the unvaccinated then the vaccinated as the article states.

So you were saying I have almost 3 times as many posts as you do but now you're saying your post count is higher than what GC has for you. So how do we know that I've posted more than you? What do you figure your 'real' post count is?

BTW, I've posted about 2900 times since Jan 2020. You've posted about 3500 times since March of 2020. GC purged the old threads some time around the start of 2020 near as I can tell, so available posts don't go back any further than that.

 

Have you seen the movie Fatal Attraction? All i looked at was your total post count to mine. I don't monitor what GC does with their posting history. You have almost 3 times as many posts as I have. You can debate this until you're blue in the face, but the fact is you post more than me according to GC. Take it up with them.

 

Nope. You've posted more than I have since the start of 2020. And you're saying GC's total post count for you is inaccurate, but you are still using those numbers to claim I post more than you. You can't have it both ways.

 

Please step aside from this personal issue? Can we leave this thread for COVID 19 information and disinformation?

 

Seems based on the timing of it all in the UK we should peak on the delta variant around 8/12 or so. Very happy to see it dying out in other countries.

 

No, it's not a personal issue. I'm pointing out the total lack of credibility for one of the posters in this thread who is responsible for so much of the disinformation in it.
