No, not wrong. You were not a frequent poster here until last year. You don't appear in this thread at all for the first month or 2 of it. You've posted in this thread a lot more than I have since then.

gubmnt may not be able to mandate vaccine but private employers may

Covid Vaccines’ Emergency Status Doesn’t Bar Mandates: DOJ (1) (bloomberglaw.com)

The Covid-19 vaccines’ status as an emergency product—which has fueled lawsuits against vaccination mandates—doesn’t prohibit employers, universities, or other entities from requiring inoculations, the U.S. Justice Department said.

The language in federal drug approval law cited by legal challengers only says that certain information should be provided to potential vaccine recipients, the department’s Office of Legal Counsel said in a memo seen by Bloomberg Law Monday.

Although the OLC memo isn’t binding authority and thus doesn’t guarantee court approval of a vaccine mandate, it provides a boost to employers and others that either have imposed such a requirement or are considering it.

The memo, dated July 6, became public as concern is growing that unvaccinated Americans are contributing to the rapid spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus. It signals that the White House is beginning to embrace vaccine mandates, a sharp departure from the Biden administration’s earlier hesitancy on the subject.

Further demonstrating the Biden administration’s pivot, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced Monday that it will require doctors, nurses, and other health-care personnel at Veterans Health Administration facilities to get vaccinated. The White House views private-sector employer mandates as potentially beneficial, according to spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

Staff at a Florida hospital say they are hearing panic, fear and regret from unvaccinated Covid-19 patients
By Madeline Holcombe and Randi Kaye, CNN
Updated 1:42 AM ET, Tue July 27, 2021

(CNN)Health care workers at Jacksonville's Baptist Medical Center in Florida are hearing panic, fear and regret from many of their patients as an increasing number are admitted for Covid-19 complications -- and as many need to be put on ventilators.

"We're getting ready to intubate the patient, which means putting them on a ventilator, and they said, 'If I get the vaccine now, could I not go on the ventilator?' So, they're begging for it," Chief Nursing Officer Tammy Daniel told CNN. "They're desperate because they are gasping for air, they can't breathe, they are scared, they feel like they're going to pass away. "
But by then, they are too late for a vaccine to stop their infection.

Baptist Medical Center has seen its Covid-19 patient numbers multiplying every day, Daniel said. "We can't open up beds fast enough to meet the demand," she said.

It's not too hard to look up. You've posted nearly 3500 times since March of 2020. So almost all of your posts have occurred since then. I don't know why you have to lie about this stuff.

Hopefully New York and California will not be paying for the testing by deducting it from pay checks.

In a normal world you would think - no way something so deranged could possibly be true. It is, after-all, just a random claim on Twitter. (Edit: guess it was a local news account).

Sadly, there has been so much shocking derangement in the past year on full display from right wing America, not only can you not assume it’s satire, you can pretty much bank on it being a true account.

You could actually argue this is them declining medical intervention. So sending them home isn’t ridiculous at all, unless you can officially get them declared mentally incompetent and unable to be responsible for their own care.

Note agreeing or disagreeing but best of luck with that. Hospitals are having large staffing shortages already. If the percentage of un-vaxed health care workers is correct that mandate will have serious negative effects on an already overburdened system.

Saw an interview with a Dr. at Johns Hopkins and he was quoting data taht suggested the vast majority of doctors who work in hospitals were vaccinated and it was the nursing staff that hovered around 50% unvaccinated in most places.

Agree that a mandate would cause very short term care. I still advocate rationing care to only the vaccinated under those circumstances. However if the larget nurses union is backing the plan, where will those nurses go when they are fired?

Maybe. I would have hoped that they would have already but they haven't. We've got people quitting already in pretty high numbers as it is just because of the workload. If you tell someone who already is not happy they have to do something they don't want to or get fired I'm not too sure how that will turn out.
