I did show hospitalizations. FL per capita is 6 times as high as NY and 4 times as high as CA. Why is that?

I mean any rational person arguing masks work because some study that ended in Late Sept/Early Oct is either being ignorant or lying. Yeah, "some people" will look at this chart and somehow still think masks worked. There is no use discussing masks with them because REAL WORLD data shows masks didn't work at all.

So you are saying seasonality is a factor in the south, but it has nothing to do with the rise on that chart in the NE?

Which goes to the point, you weren't interested in the data. You were interested in deflecting from the data because it actually didn't, at the level of utilizing the entire country for analysis, support your position, which is why you prefer to rely on .@ianmSC from Twitter and his charts rather than experts in the field using proper statistical methods and evaluated by actual researchers and experts.

Maybe because the this state has so many retired ,over weight , with pre existing conditions and a but load of tourist and people moving here daily.

 

I've already been clear on this I'm not a anti-vaxer nor do I care who takes or doesn't. If you think it works then take it, unlike you and others I'm not going to be a dick and try to shame or force people to take any medication or vaccine. I believe natural immunity is better and there has been plenty of professionals who agree. Americans in general take way too much medications. My politics has nothing to do with my health and quit acting like you a shit if I was to end up in the hospital, you're more likely to be rooting that I catch Covid for a 2nd time and end up in the hospital so you could say you were right. I hope none of you catch covid or the flu.

A Japanese company has started human trials of the first once-a-day pill for Covid-19 patients, joining Pfizer Inc. PFE 0.51% and Merck MRK 1.32% & Co. in the race to find treatments for the disease.

Osaka-based Shionogi 4507 0.68% & Co., which helped develop the blockbuster cholesterol drug Crestor, said it designed its pill to attack the Covid-19 virus. It said the once-a-day dosing would be more convenient. The company said it is testing the drug and any side effects in trials that began this month and are likely to continue until next year.

Shionogi is months behind Pfizer and Merck, which have started later-stage tests of pills to treat Covid-19. Pfizer has said its twice-daily pill could be ready to hit the market as soon as this year. It is preparing to enroll more than 2,000 patients in a test of the antiviral pill combined with a booster antiviral drug against a placebo.

 

I'd be curious about Gator95's answer, too. Exactly how do you think seasonality pushed covid cases higher in the Northeast in April but higher in the South in July?

Just curious, most anti-viral medications, unlike anti-bacterial (antibiotics) fail because of the difficulty in producing a medication with the cost-benefit to the patient. Further, these will also only available under "emergency use" for years to come. Why would you feel more comfortable taking an "unauthorized" medication that by design will disrupt a natural process in your body, yet refuse a vaccine that provokes a natural process in your body under the same level of authorizaiton?

 

Working as well in what way? Preventing Infections? Hospitalizations? Deaths? What data are you looking at that makes you come to this conclusion? Or is this merely speculation on your part?
