also, the 7 day death average a month ago was 406, yesterday it was 216, almost 45% drop, a month is plenty of lag time from infection until death, people might be getting infected but are not dying at near the rate they were.

I work in Big Pharma (clinical trials) and am fully aware of the money-grubbing nature of it. Still, getting vaxxed is a no brainer. I don't think I've ever been involved in a clinical trial (in 25 years) where the product was as safe and effective as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are. Healthcare workers should know better.

This is because vaccinated people generally have much better outcomes. The unvaccinated are the ones who are still dying.

I do not have your background, knowledge or experience, but podcast after podcast and interview after interview with experts from around the globe continue to be amazed and ecstatic at the success of the mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. Further, the failure of the CureVac mRNA vaccine highlighted that it is more than just throw mRNA into something and it magically works great. The jobs that the folks a BioNTech and Moderna did was world class in the development and add in Pfizer's manufacturing and distribution might it has been terrific all of the way around for those two vaccines.

Another way to look at it . . .

    July 7......182
    July 12....255

As @G8trGr8t noted, death is a lagging number. It will increase from this point, as long as cases continue to increase. We need some of these bozos in Missouri, Arkansas, etc. to get the vaccine.

example, your site said 7 day death average yesterday was 255, worldometer said 216, 40 a day at such small numbers is a big drop-off.

With a surge of COVID cases in our area, I reinstated a mask mandate for our company for the unvaccinated employees. We will also be bringing in the local pharmacy to do COVID vaccines some day next week.

cannot read the site, but the problem is if you or i look hard enough we can find a site that supports what we believe, that is the problem of no central site, i find what i want, and ignore the others, you do the same in ignoring worldometer, not malicious, just what we want to be true.

12 children in Mississippi are in the ICU and 10 are life support with the delta variant of COVID-19. Does not say what ages these kids are, just they are pediatric cases located throughout the state. And that most cases in the state are delta. MS is also near the bottom of the list when it comes to vaccination rates, and experts predict COVID numbers are going to get worse.

It's not in any way what I want to be true - not even for the sake of argument. The case and death numbers are rising. That's not a "gotcha" or something I had to look for; it's objective fact. I sure as heck don't want it to be true. I want the virus situation to be over and there's a clear pathway for that to occur.

Everyone wears a mask unless you show a vax card. If you are vaccinated and don't want to show your card, you wear a mask.

Death rates probably are lower, just because the elderly are actually pretty well vaccinated (relative to all other age groups). But it also makes sense for there to be a bit of a surge after the economy gets opened. The health experts basically said you need like 80% to reach herd immunity. In some places, they fell woefully short (even <40%). This was absolutely predictable, but certain politicians chose to lie and pander to their deranged base rather than lead them with the truth. You’d think eventually people would get pissed about being lied to or having their family members die as a result of following the advice of lying politicians/media figures, so this is a helluva game these people are playing.

This phenomenon was observed early (in a way), even before the vaccine. Older people got especially hit hard with the earliest covid deaths, but many precautions were taken after that (all the lockdowns) which resulted in covid patients getting “younger and fatter” (as it was described to me lol). People who probably didn’t follow precautions quite as much. I’ve heard this from several people I know in real life, but there’s a guy in here who claims to be an ICU nurse who says the same thing. Seems to line up pretty well with the “national” reporting, that the spread now is almost entirely in the unvaccinated across different age groups.

I’m sure it still tilts slightly older (kids are never going to fill up the ICU’s from this, even if we do sadly see some kids afflicted). ICU beds are mostly going to be filled by people in their 50’s and 60’s who mistakingly thought they were too badass to be afraid of a virus (lol), or who think all they need to do to fight off infections is drink orange juice.

'I'll never be the same:' Unvaccinated NC woman now urging vaccinations after COVID battle

GRAHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — An unvaccinated woman in Western North Carolina is urging people to get the COVID-19 shot after a tough battle with the virus put both her and her son in the hospital.

Linda Edwards said she never thought she'd get COVID-19, so she didn't get the vaccine...

"It was devastating. I had no dreams of ever staying that long. It's the longest I've ever been in the hospital," she said. "I was there hoping and praying my son was okay here because he had tested positive, too."

Her son, Shane, had been airlifted to Mission Hospital and was staying in the room right next to her, but she said doctors didn't tell her because they didn't want to worry her. Along with COVID-19, Shane was dealing with renal failure and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Another sobering anecdote. A friend / business associate of my wife died last week from covid. He was un-vaccinated and with a belief that "god will protect me". He deteriorated rather quickly, was hospitalized on Wednesday, into ICU and intubated the same day. By Thursday had was on dialysis, and dead by Friday morning. He was 48, and an otherwise healthy man with no risk factors.

Those of you on the fence, please get the damn vaccine. Don't play the odds. If you lose, you can lose bad...

99.2% of recent deaths are the unvaccinated.

    Darwinism in action.
