Would not criticizing them make it any better, people are tired of being beat over the head with negativity day after day.

Is it so hard to tune it out? All you have to do is turn off the Fox News. I recommend a gradual weaning away. Good luck and keep us informed regarding your progress.

Why can't we all look on the bright side of 600K extra deaths?

Their job isn't to deliver you the good news, it's actually pretty much to deliver you the "bad news", since virologists and epidemiologists wouldn't even concern themselves with things that aren't potentially bad news.

The only good news Fauci was going to deliver was possible treatments, and actually I think he pretty much overhyped the therapeutics, so he delivered some good news where he perhaps shouldn't (there still really isn't an effective "treatment" for those who get severe COVID, at best they slightly move the needle). Fortunately the vaccines did live up to (and exceed) expectations to keep people from getting severe COVID.

So no one should talk about 100s of thousands of deaths because no one wants to hear that?? “Be quiet, It sux to be you”

Just FYI, the threads you've started on Too Hot:
    - Joe Biden is really creepy because he made sure two little girls had ice cream, and that means he's a pedophile
    - Anthony Fauci needs to go away
    - Cuomo is a serial killer of senior citizens and comparable to John Gotti
    - The Michigan governor is a hypocrite

What to you think, would those be messages of happiness and joy or ... perhaps ... negativity?

Just lots of baiting there. Rarely any solid news link or any intention of serious discussion. I'm not one to put people on ignore, but when someone is trashing up the board that much, it might be time.

Interesting premise. Curious to see how this piece will stand up once it is "peer reviewed" in media.

Oh boy, you went and did it now. You can expect an angry poster, the one who lives in this thread, to come along very soon and start insulting you.

52 dead in Florida today. all pointless since the vaccine could have prevented all those deaths and there is plenty of vaccine to go around

In fairness, he is now digging up "what if" scenarios that are no more than any of the other "what ifs" we all live under every day. That is what is frustrating for folks. At some point we return to normal and accept the "what ifs" as part of that normal. I am not singling you out AzCat. I know a lot of folks doing the same. But we have to draw a line somewhere.

So "what if" scenarios aren't important? Like "what if" transgendered athletes become the norm? *Runs away*

*While running away* "Vaccines are how we return to normal. And all of the stuff about vaccine hesitancy is playing "what if" scenarios as well."
