No. A fair equivalent would be me saying that my not wearing a brand new not fully approved device isn't gonna hurt the people in the other cars wearing their new unapproved safety device. The couple in the fact that like 99.9% of us wont even have an accident today, and the chance of you dying because I am not wearing my device is almost zip.

This is not the same as the mask issue, where protection was limited by the single mask, and both parties needed it. This is a 95% effective remedy.

Maybe they forgot they were wearing it . . . or are traveling to several stops and are simply choosing to keep it on.

Social distancing and mask wearing are great, but the one single thing that you can now do that will have by far the biggest impact is to get vaccinated. The issue I have with your stance is that if everyone did what you are doing and waited for full FDA approval before getting vaccinated, tens of thousands of more people would have died. And I found it odd that you posted an article showing what a good job the vaccines are doing at bringing cases and deaths down, but you won't get vaccinated yourself. And that's the last thing I will say about this because we all know where everyone stands.

Just for clarity. I have never said I wont get vaccinated, though I have not yet. I have said I would like to see a bit more and I have said that if it gets full approval I will get it immediately. Mostly what I have said is that I will not judge anyone that feels differently than I do on the matter regardless.

I respect your opinion. I appreciate the willingness of so many. I really do.

I do it all the time. Frankly it feels weird to have it off after wearing it all day. (Work, gym etc)

Fully vaccinated really gives a person a sense of freedom and normalcy. I am so happy going back to my small synagogue on Friday night and Saturday, having lunch with my friends. And feeling virtually risk free.

Even fully vaccinated, without herd immunity, there is still a significant risk. Lower than before, but still present. Especially if the vaccinated person goes about his/her day taking no precautions such as mask wearing and social distancing.

As for kids and COVID, recent study shows a correlation between kids who get the virus and diabetes. Still early to say there is definite causation, and it could be kids are more sedentary these days. But early indicators show those infected have higher diabetes rates than kids who don't get sick.

I probably missed their post, but I'm interested to hear the rationale...

@gatorpa has had some very insightful posts. He has pointed out in some detail the difference between a full FDA approval and emergency use.

Just entertained a group of 10 fully vaccinated friends tonight for Cinco de Drinko. Margaritas and street tacos. Nice to enjoy some normalcy for a change!

Already over 9200 breakthrough cases confirmed, and rising. There are likely more, as the vaccine lessons the severity of the disease in some. So it's likely well over 10k, but with many either asymptomatic or only minor complications. But they are walking around, spreading the virus.

When it comes to a virus that's killed more Americans in 18 months than any war save the Civil War, yes, I'm not optimistic.

I wouldn't call 9500 out of 95 million significant though. Just my $.02

10k cases from how many vaccinated people? 106 million people vaccinated. It’s ok man. Move on with life. Just for the clarity, that equates to .000094 chance of getting Covid. It’s time to move on. You are being irrational.

Ok...stop it. The 10k cases is miles less than the 5% the trial told us would happen.

We already know a very small amount of vaccinated folks will get Covid.

Meanwhile only half of those vaxed for the flu will work.

The number is minuscule. It is not "significant" as you claim. Not even close.
