So you figure someone with covid staying in a house and not leaving until they are no longer contagious will infect as many people as someone with covid who goes out and interacts with lots of people?

so, if i am locked in a house for 3 weeks, will i get, if i get, covid on day 1, and have it run its course by the time lockdown is over, or will i get it on the last day before lockdown ends, since you cannot go out to get tested you will not know, and if you go out after lockdown is over after only 1 day of having covid, well, guess what?

There hasn't been a single place in which "lockdown" meant no access to Covid testing.

Either way you'd be a lot less likely to spread covid if you were locked in your house for 3 weeks than if you were going out and interacting with people every day for 3 weeks.

How would you get it on day 20 of 21 of a “lockdown”? Who would you have come in contact with on day 20 that you hadn’t on days 1-19? I think the issue at hand, also evident from your post about California, is you don’t understand what a “lockdown” is.

We didn’t have lockdowns in the US, anywhere. Shutting down restaurants, bars, and gyms does not equal a lockdown. We had shelter-in-place ordinances, but even those had loose definitions of essential businesses and no coordination. China did not allow take out or delivery from restaurants during their lockdown. If there was an actual lockdown it would not be possible to catch Covid on day 20 unless it magically appeared.

lol. That was the same thing. It went from Kelly...to Mullen...to Mullens wife not liking Gainesville...to Gainesville's weather forcast...to a critique on the weather channel...etc.
We then locked it and had a billion topical Mullen threads.

I just looked and this thread is still 1.3 million views away (seriously)...and that was just a few months long...lol.
We care way more about coaching searches than a silly little global pandemic :D

Went back and relived the first couple weeks of this thread, what a wild ride. 479k dead, could pass 600k by the time we have everyone vaccinated. Hopefully over the next couple months things will slow down, but I'm worried that a lot of people have the idea now that vaccines are available that they don't need to social distance or wear masks.

True. No need to hide it. The Kelly thread was one of it’s kind. A sign of the times. Like Covid.
