CNN has Dr. Fauci on a minute ago. He’s was a really good sport. Answered as much as he could. Dodged a little bit really just when he didn’t know, like when can people be sure they can be tested. No timeframe. Otherwise good.

Serious question. How many people if you had to guess have had this in the US so far?

 

That recovery number means nothing as it will begin to soar as people get cleared soon.

 

If anyone is using this forum to get all your information about this pandemic, you are making a big mistake.

 

Obviously it’s all about how many get cleared vs die. Very striking to see that more people have died than recover. Totally get many will recover. Just kind of eerie right now.

 

Correct but the global number has been running steady at 90% recovered to 10% death

 

Most likely most deaths come quicker than recoveries. I think the numbers will be skewed by that fact for a good while.

Well as far as that question above just a crazy guess for me would be about 200k have had this so far in the US. Would it hit in the tens of millions like the flu unchecked ? Hard to say if it got a long term foothold.

I cannot even begin to provide a number. All I can think is that with little doubt it's many more than we know.

My mother was just telling me today about two of her friends (a married couple), both lawyers in SF. They both believe they contracted Covid-19. Didn't get tested. Self-quarantined for a week. Have since gone out shopping etc...despite possibly having having it.

There has got to be many many more like them.
