Some of our schools are still open, this was the HS principal making the call.
My wife was apparently exposed at the beginning of the week from a dipshit, conspiracy theory Parler user that she co-taught with. The lady didn't wear a mask but my wife did and kept her distance (and not just because of Covid). My wife is healthy as hell but we do know people that are at risk.

Thanks, and to put things visually in terms of what I was talking about, see Figure 2 on page 30. Look at how the infection rate was basically the same between the two groups the first 10-12 days, and then leveled off sharply in the vaccine group thereafter.

And here's a copy of it:

PS: I did the calculation wrong on my example, efficacy would've been 33%, but the point is the same.

Covid-19 Outbreaks Aren’t Driven by In-Person Classes, CDC Says

"The return to in-person classes in nearly two-thirds of the U.S. hasn’t led to a rash of community outbreaks, federal scientists said in a study of 2.87 million cases among those under age 24.

Disease rates in counties where in-person learning is available for school-aged children and adolescents is similar to areas where classes are entirely online, according to a report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It concludes schools should be the last to close, and the first to re-open."

Hopefully this puts an end to the "schools aren't safe" BS. Lets get all kids back to in person learning. Now.

Yes. Really good that Trump released all vaccines instead of holding back. It has been about bending the curve all along.

maybe some semi-positive news for a change. since the high of 308,011 new cases on january 8, the average for the last 6 days is 232,553. also, 2 days ago hospitalizations were at 131,326, today from covid 19 testing 128,947, about a 2400 decline. take this for what it is worth.daily tests in these 6 days are about1,940,000 a day.

We are going to pass 400,000 today. We are going to pass 407,316 (American military casualties in WWII) before Biden's inauguration.

Yeah I think we might be on the downward slope of this peak. We just had Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and NYE all in a row. That created a lot of extra socializing and a burst in cases. Now things are quieter and also the combined effect of vaccinations and people with immunity due to having already had covid should start to have an impact, I'd think.

New cases peaked last week, so new deaths will likely peak next week then start declining.

Good question, I’m curious what emergency room/office visits ranging from 1990-2017 has to do with the Covid vaccine... too bad we can’t see the whole chart.

Again 95, what parameters are you using to generate your numbers? I tried to duplicate your numbers using the CDC VAERS system and could not.

Did not know he was already in office. People waited until the official count to take precautions and get vaccinations?
