You should probably get tested out of caution.

any ideas how he caught it? Of those I’ve heard from they generally knew how. Ie most from family, one having lunch with someone who later tested positive.

I wish your bro the best.

    I hope he is alright.
I have been around several people that tested positive later and with each occurrence I take all the factors into consideration because there are so many variables.
IT guy that I met with several times (with masks and 6 feet apart but for extended periods indoors): Isolated, then tested.
MT bike buddy that I rode with for 1.5 hours (no mask, outside, rode behind me 'cause he is slower): No test for me.

    Hope everything works out.

    The Lab-Leak Hypothesis

Very long article on the theory that Covid wasn't a random virus from a bat. This author has written a book on the Pentagon's Project Baseless which sought to develop chemical and biological warfare for the US. Makes the most sense logically as it seems too random that a new virus just happens in a spot where a level 4 BioLab is located. Remember all the people shooting this down last spring. It's not 100% true or false at this point, and China for sure isn't being cooperative.

Nothing like the CDC manufacturing some data to say masks work. Man. It's almost like they are purposely deceiving us.

See the Trump death panels ;) are running in California. Recommending certain patients not be transported to Hospitals as they are overwhelmed and don’t have resources for patients with .1% survivability.
Damn we have been planning well. I would guess this is from nursing homes but the story didn’t expound.

I think most people were shooting down the idea that it was weaponized and intentionally used as such by the Chinese government. The author of the article posits that it was man made/man altered and accidentally released and I don’t discount that theory.

Disagree. Many on here stated that it was most likely accidentally released and were subsequently shot down by either being called racist or being a conspiracy theory nut. Most saying that is the most likely theory and now people are finally coming around to it.

I still think it most likely came from a bat like the predominant theory holds but I don't discount that it could have been accidentally released. No way of knowing really.

Hope everything turns out good for you and your brother. TTell him to order an Oximeter off of Amazon. It's only about 15 bucks. It measures your blood oxygen level. Mid 90's is good. Consistently below 90, he needs to go to the hospital.
I'm speaking from first hand experience.

Airborne doesn't mean it can't be controlled. Tuberculosis is airborne, it used to affect so many people that we had entire hospitals built to house patients afflicted with "consumption". It's well controlled now and affect relatively few people who grew up here, and we did so by isolating affected patients and with directly observed administration of medications.

On a side note, don't you think it's ironic that we could make into law to literally force people to take a cocktail of medications with serious side effects (INH is well known to cause liver failure, Ethambutol can cause blindness, etc.) by having public health officials come to your door to watch you take the meds back in the "great" days when we were all "free", all in the interest of public health, but mandate masks and there's an uproar?

save the O2, let them die at home

Covid: LA ambulances told not to transport some patients to hospital - BBC News

Ambulance workers in Los Angeles County, California, have been told not to transport hospital patients that have extremely low chances of survival.

The directive comes as officials say the region could soon hit over 1,000 Covid-related deaths per day, and hospitals are overrun with patients.

Emergency workers have also been told to ration oxygen, which is in short supply due to the pandemic.

I read that yesterday, it's a pretty click-baity headline IMO. They're saying basically that if someone cannot be revived after 20 minutes of CPR, then don't send them to the hospital. Patients who can't achieve return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) even once after 20 minutes have exceedingly small chance of survival, and those who do end up with significant anoxic brain injury. It's actually a less drastic measure than what many hospitals are already doing, which is to not even attempt to resuscitate any COVID patient who codes.

the great oxymoron. "many very smart people do not wear masks" which bodes the question what part of "smart" is being implied with this statement. Lets just add more, like, "many smart people drive drunk and don't require a designated driver", "many smart people buy a gun and kill people that have never taken gun training"...this could go on and on. In other words, your choice of implying that "many smart people do not wear masks" just makes no sense. I personally would consider that the intelligence you imply has been set aside just for this mask thing?
