I think the next peak in cases will be around the week of Jan 18-22, with new death records being set 2/1 - 2/5. Then the slow decline into summer.

Hope I'm wrong about most of this.

Not sure, I saw it on Twitter. Sad that we even have to ask if it’s real or not because there are definitely deranged MAGATs out there who think like this.

It is sad. Did some sleuthing. It does seem to be real. I alternate between wanting to laugh at such foolishness and being sad or angry about it. Truth is I don't laugh at all. Too many people dying on a hill of stupidity. Then again, we have folks here like bevin victory party claiming covid is bs. Makes me realize that I want to be nowhere near any trump supporter. Let them cull their own herd with their ignorance.

I found the first facebook August 5th on his page because it was public, but the second "requiem" post isn't public. He definitely died in November. Here's the gofundme page for his funeral expenses. Feel for his kids.

Well, we now have our 2nd possible case of the Covid-19 B.1.1.7 variant in Colorado. We can stop it though. We can stop nature. Just give us some of your daily freedoms you likely take for granted anyway and we'll stop it. You can trust us. We listen to scientists.

It was an extremely dumb way to approach things, I laugh at people who do extremely dumb things. Feel bad for his kids, but I’m of the thought that had he truly cared about them and wanted to be there for them and provide and protect his family, he would’ve taken the proper precautions and not treated the deadly virus as a joke to own the libs. Maybe the bright side to this is some MAGAts who felt similarly got a wake up call.

I'm not encouraged that many of them will learn from any of this. It's a pathology of defiant ignorance. Just look at the post right above yours.

True. I agree with you, I hate having to share the world with ignoramuses who don’t care about their fellow man. Would be great if they had their own science-free island where they could freely walk around maskless and infect each other in peace while leaving the rest of society alone.

We went in our local Winn Dixie in Jax last night. Saw the most unmasked people that I’d seen in any store in months

So some posts on a FB thread where people said they were coming to FL because we weren’t locked down like their BS (cold) state.

    Great.

Yep, any non-resident of Florida should be stopped at the border and turned away for the foreseeable future. That would be GREAT the state’s economy.

"What would the Founding Fathers do?" Jim Jordan (R-OH) gets schooled on U.S. history. I apologize if this has already been posted.

Jordan tried to suggest that the Founding Fathers would have fought against limitations to freedoms to contain the spread of a virus. It turns out that the Founding Fathers had to deal with smallpox outbreaks twice. No less than George Washington took action to minimize the spread of disease, in one case shutting down Boston for months and isolating civilians from military personnel, and then variolating (a precursor to vaccination) soldiers to prevent the spread of smallpox.

Rep Jim Jordan Schooled by Historians for Suggesting Founding Fathers Would Oppose COVID Measures
