Already ID'd 1,000+ cases of the new strain. Forget about it. It's out of the bag. Thanks, China.

What is it with these anti-masker types? Full of hubris - but just not too bright.

We do, though in some ways it doesn't feel any different despite some of the new restrictions.

By the way, more than two-thirds of the cases from yesterday were from the the greater LA metro area counties (LA/Orange/Riverside/San Bernardino), and San Diego.

At least she is wearing a mask, but let's get this over with. It's a myth. The issue isn't the use of masks, but how people are wearing them. 90% of the country should just take them off. Disposable masks are that, disposable, and you should be using a new one every day. Cloth types have to be washed every day and the CDC said normal washing machines aren't good enough with the normal detergent we use. More importantly, do you think the virus is taking a break while you are eating? Sitting there laughing it up, eating your food, talking, all without your mask will infect everyone in the restaurant anyway. That's because air circulation in every single establishment doesn't filter out viruses, it just circulates them. It takes the virus from one corner of the restaurant and moves it to the kitchen. We don't know the numbers of restaurant workers who get sick. Those numbers aren't kept, but if you work in one, you are almost as likely to get the virus as a front line worker. The only thing that is helping is the mask they are wearing all of the time. But studies have shown that when we go to a restaurant, even if eating and leaving in 5 minutes, we can get Covid. So if we can get it that fast, what about workers who are working an 8 hour shift?

I watched a documentary from Berlin and the researcher there said the average HVAC unit in homes, businesses, and restaurants do not prevent Covid and in fact circulates it. So, this girl probably should freak out more when people take their masks off to eat because you can get infected in as little as 5 minutes of exposure. At least as one study ascertained in the video. We try to find restaurants with outdoor seating and Cheesecake Factory has these massive standing heaters that work really well but it is only 40 out when we ate so that might not be an option for people in colder areas. For this girl, she has to understand she works in a restaurant and at no time is she ever going to be safe. Everyone will be taking their masks off when they are seated which does zippo to keeping the virus from spreading from their table to where she is standing at the front desk.

Tragic story, no doubt. But I missed where it says they caught it at school? I find it incredibly hard to believe that wouldn’t haven’t been divulged in the first sentence of the story if it was known. I know of a couple teachers who have had covid. In those instances, they brought it to school, they didn’t catch it there. Considering everyone is masked, I wonder if school is more dangerous than a restaurant or grocery store.

That makes perfect sense. My dad has COPD and never took as much as one puff.
    Appreciate the clarity.

I guess that's plausible. The only one that didn't seem at all involved was the poor manager.

Tracing from Restaurants does not show they are a big spreader of covid.

Those Govt officials who are shutting down restaurants are just following "science". They think it looks good to shut down restaurants so they are doing it. It's like the places shutting down schools. It's idiotic. And people are letting it happen.
