One study? How about you research do masks work against airborne virus's prior to this year and see what the "scientists" used to say before everyone has to toe the Coronabro line. Lemmings gonna lemming...

Here’s another question you can dodge. Why if I believe a study am I a lemming while you agreeing with a study makes it facts? Feel free not to answer or call me a less creative name than my six year old can come up with. I’ll hang up and listen, or not because you won’t answer anything...

Before 2020 the consensus of mask studies was that masks don't work to prevent airborne viruses. Even in March/April, Fauci was saying you don't need to wear one. So where is the Study that shows masks work? There isn't one. Anyone who isn't a lemming would know this.

Did you read the article? It says that masks don't protect the wearer, that they are intended to protect those around the wearer. Just like everyone here is trying to tell you.

    Scrong link you provided:
The study, published in JAMA, found that surgical masks were as effective as N95 respirators at preventing the flu, which is to say, not all that effective because, of the 446 nurses who took part in this study, nearly one in four (24%) in the surgical mask group still got the flu as did 23% of those who wore the N95 respirator. And, because both groups wore masks, it's impossible to say how they would have fared compared with not wearing a mask at all.

If that was the case all the areas that wear masks wouldn't have the same Covid rates as places that don't have mask mandates. Same all over the world. Look at Europe. Some countries have no mask mandates or lockdowns have very similar outcomes as those countries that have strict mask mandates.

Yup, there it is right there. Proof that wearing masks reduces transmission. Thanks again for providing that evidence.

Gotta love it. When tasked with proving other studies exist supporting the Danish study, we get a link that says no definitive conclusion be drawn and..... the Danish study.

It's complete nonsense. Looking through the windows of the bars in downtown Fort Myers last weekend, there was 0% usage and the bars were packed.

First, unlike you, some of us are actually scientists with backgrounds in statistics and understand statistical inference. The study you keep pointing to did not show what you say it shows. As pointed out, the authors say the same thing as I just said. You are the one who is deviating from proper inference on that study.

Yeah, those lockdowns really worked like a charm in Europe and those mask mandates did as well...

You guys keep living in fantasy land.

Now wait, you were arguing social distancing works. A lockdown functions on social distancing (the whole point of a lockdown is to keep people away from other people). Now it doesnt work?

BTW, you really should check what is happening to case counts in the EU. They are plummeting while we continue to increase.

Yes the lockdowns did work and are working again. Back in March/April they locked down and cases went way down. They eased up and cases rose again. Now they are locked down again and cases are going down again. It's very clear that lockdowns work.

    Right. No clue...

Look, you and the other Coronabros were against schools reopening. You guys were dead wrong on it and won't admit it. Just pathetic. You guys are wrong on masks as well.

"Only 0.02 per cent of students and 0.04 per cent of staff have tested positive in schools that have reopened in the US, according to Emily Oster, an economist at Brown University who has been gathering data."

If you don’t like what someone has to say let’s say they are stupid. And you wonder why almost 50% of the country voted for a complete asshole for President...[/QUOTE]
Posters like you have removed much doubt about the 49% of his supporters. And it isn't that he doesn't like what you say, it's that facts get in the way of your bs.
