Ive come a long way from cowering in my basement, haven’t I?!?!? Now I’m a threat to society because I believe a mask is better than no mask when leaving your house. Yeah, I’m the crazy one...

Talking about dumb comments, I didn't say mask up and everything will be solved. But your churlish effort and constantly arguing despite your being ignorant about the basics of measurement is why you are consistently wrong on here.

You might be able to read but you don't know squat about drawing valid inferences from data.

I don’t know, I question the ability to read as well.

the data is clear. The Danish mask study is fact. People just choose not to look at data. Same with keeping schools open. All data says there isn’t school spread, but that doesn’t stop the panic porn people from keeping schools closed.

I think you need to go back and look at what the larger field of researchers have determined about the Danish Study, and what the authors of the study said about masks. You are mistaken on multiple fronts. Your categorical claim that the study is "fact" being one, it seems. I say it seems because I am not quite sure what you even mean by this?

That the study showed masks are ineffective being another. That you can even generalize to all mask wearing being yet another.

This is what I meant by your not understanding the basics of measurement. Or maybe you do and you just choose to ignore them. Either way, you shouldn't because it's leading you to make unfounded claims.

You can’t address the limits of data derived from methods with someone who doesn’t understand those limits. But it does educate when you point out those limits.

Exactly. When you understand the limits, you understand why the conclusions or conversely, why the challenge to conclusions.

Thing is too, the Danish study was a heck of an effort and many researchers have praised the effort even while being critical of what can be concluded. This is how science works and disagreement actually advances science at least as much as agreement might.

I haven’t circled back to this thread for about 400 pages but it’s good to see the level of ignorance hasn’t diminished at all.

    Yeah, really hard to determine...

I love it when we have keyboard scientists here think they know more than what the what the largest RCT study on masks in the world found.

Comical. Them the “you don’t understand measurement” bs. Yes, good OL’ liberals. If you don’t like what someone has to say let’s say they are stupid. And you wonder why almost 50% of the country voted for a complete asshole for President...

What other “scientists” are doing is trying to poke holes in what is the currently the most extensive RCT study on masks since they don’t like the data it provided. Just about anyone can “try” to poke holes in a study, doesn’t mean they are right.

Lead Researcher Behind Controversial Danish Study Says You Should Still Wear A Mask

However, experts swiftly pointed out that the study has many limitations, including low compliance (many people did not complete the study, and a high percentage of people who were supposed to wear masks did not) and that it took place in a population where spread of Covid-19 was already low.

Multiple studies have found that mask wearing has a big impact on Covid-19, including one in October which found areas in Tennessee with mask mandates had lower hospitalization rates than areas that don’t.

Former Alabama state senator dies of Covid at 78, warns in last words, 'We messed up'
Thrasher said Dixon was the "finest human being," whose last wish was to prevent more Alabamians from following his fate.
"He wanted to encourage people to be careful, wear a mask, don't socially gather," Thrasher said. "He said, 'Let's save some lives.'"

Yeah, but a couple of posters here “feel” they don’t work and backed it up with a Facebook survey. Clearly, they are useless.

But seriously, how could you refute the findings of one study I like with hundreds I don’t like?
