...I'd like us all to take a moment and realize that for every page of this thread, over 280 people died in the US. Most of them alone in a hospital bed.

    To far north
I’m up in NW central MN. Douglas and Otter tail counties specifically.

For a good week plus both those counties were in the top 5 in the nation for fastest spread.

Somber thought. Worse is that POTUS incompetence and the culture he fostered is responsible for the majority of those deaths.

So it looks like we're seeing the Thanksgiving weekend spike. Where do we peak at on new cases daily? So many people just said "F this", I'm going to see my family. Can't say I blame them.

    Sorry. I do prefer levity.

14 covid deaths per post is hard to get past though.

I see. Early in the summer, there were some counties where 1 in 13 or so had contracted the virus. Now it seems all counties are at or approaching that ratio.

The unofficial record for the longest thread is 1,156 pages and it was the coaching search thread on Swamp Gas, the famous @tilly thread..

Yeah that thread will get smoked by this one soon. It already would have been passed up if COVID didn't get broken up into this one, Florida, International, and treatments/vaccines.

So a thread about a worldwide pandemic that has killed a million people is getting close to the Chip Kelly thread?

Good thing Scott Stricklin had a vaccine.

80% of covid transmission occurs at bars, restaurants, hotels, cafes and places of worship. only one on that list that surprises me is hotels. It doesn't seem to be that hard to safely stay in hotel. We have refused to get on elevator or exited elevator if non-masked person was present and avoid any indoor eating spaces when we have travelled.

Canadian spike after their thanksgiving is scary to think what US will look like in 2 weeks

What's the record for most epic fail/bad takes on a single topic... bet that one's covered in this thread too.
