For some reason, Trump and MAGA have made The Wall an obsession, the veritable symbolization of the struggle to prevent illegal immigration. They ignore reasoned dissension, practical reality, our other three borders, and the vast airspace above. Walls can be blown up, cut through, knocked over, climbed, and tunneled under. Methinks their "magic bullet," for immigration is a dud.

Wanting to revert to some medieval manifestation with walls, conspiracies, no science, no vaxxes, women as property, overlords etc.

It seems to have been deemphasized a bit for Trump 2.0, now its just another thing to award cronies lucrative contracts for shoddy work

Also was apparently a mistake to decide I didn’t need to waste my time pulling up the emojis for what (I assumed, apparently incorrectly) was pretty clearly a joking post.

    Your post is a dud.

You and your Too Hot liberal friends simply want our southern border to be open so illegals can be pipelined into Swing States to turn them into little California's. When the one party rule you lust for is in place you can finish turning America into the USSR.

If you were fully conscious this would become more clear to you.

Of course liberals don't call for open borders.

They vote and rig elections for politicians who will fund NGO's that pipeline illegals into the US

Have you ever been along the boarder?
I'm currently traveling through New Mexico and Texas and the winds here have been pretty bad at times, 7 semi's in Amarillo over turned from the wind. You know this the area they put your beloved wind turbines. They've been postponing some flights also, so yes the wind can be an issue

The winter winds can whip up when storms come in, but they are nothing compared to the summer monsoons. Monsoons have micro-bursts where it's almost an inverse tornado, and winds can hit over 100mph in a very localized area. Monsoons storms can also brings inches of rain in a a very short time.

The wall is also useless. In 2022, there were 11 wall breaches a day. And these were known breaches, and doesn't include anyone who climbed over the wall. The number of persons breaching the wall on a daily basis was hundreds, if not thousands.

Only a very few libertarians call for an open border. What we need is better control, especially considering we have a demand for immigrant labor. Undocumented immigrants make up about 3.5% of our labor force. And it's not like our unemployment is high. Immigrants aren't stealing citizen jobs. So why not change the law to allow the supply of cheap immigrant labor to legally meet demand?
