More details about Jordan's efforts to cover up the Ohio State sexual abuse scandal are being released. What a piece of work. This is a clear violaltion of federal law, the US Senate needs to conduct a full investigation into Jordan's conduct.

In 2018, Michael DiSabato, a former wrestler at The Ohio State University, accused Jordan, a former assistant coach with the program, of failing to do anything about team doctor Richard Strauss, whom an independent university investigation had found abused at least 177 male student-athletes in a 20-year reign of terror that the university knew about and failed to stop.

DiSabato’s brother, Adam, went on to allege that Jordan called him in a desperate attempt to get his brother to recant the statement.

“Jim Jordan called me [in July 2018] crying, groveling, begging me to go against my brother, begging me, crying for a half-hour. That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there,” DiSabato told members of the Ohio House Civil Justice Committee in 2020.

“When a sexual abuse scandal at Ohio State University threatened to derail his political career, Mr. Jordan punched back in characteristic fashion, details of which have not been previously reported, calling a wrestler’s aging parents and asking them to persuade their son to back off the charge that Mr. Jordan knew about the abuse and did nothing, according to interviews conducted for this article.”

It is just amazing who Republicans will let carry the torch these days. For all of the groomer rhetoric Republicans have some actual real life groomers as their leaders.

It’s not the leaders (well in part), the problem is the base 20% of our population are truly vile, rotten people. If this was par for the course in my party I as a decent person wouldn’t be part of it. That’s why so many have left. The leaders are a symptom. See the OK post.

Those in power won't do anything. Why? Because he's supposedly a leader who brings home the bacon to his district. But here's the great irony: this professional politician of 20 years (10 in the Ohio Legislature and 10 in the House) has never had a single bill passed. The guy is a zero, but Ohioans love their assholes.

Not ironic at all. A “decent person” calling 20% of the population truly vile and rotten people. Thanks for the laugh to start my day.

What wonderful media we have in this country. Or rather, what a shitshow we have masquerading as media. Based on the headline, I would have expected some substantial new information. Not just The DiSabato brothers putting out their hands for more $ without any more substantiation than the last time they did it. Maybe those two need a threesome with Blasey Ford.

Just what was it that James Carville said about people like these in the 90’s? Something about a trailer park if I remember correctly.

The bit about Jordan calling a wrestler's parents in an attempt to get him to change his story is apparently new.

I disagree that it was some kind of money grab by one of the many victims. Jordan, like Joe Pa, had knowledge about the abuse but remained silent. Something about willful ignorance not being a defense comes to mind meanwhile you will defend him because, well,.... go team.

No, it’s just another unsubstantiated accusation from people who have a recent history of making unsubstantiated accusations.

If these two dipshits have any proof I am all ears.

You are shooting the messenger and letting the perp walk.

As to proof, OSU had an independent study done and determined it was true.

Yet the GOP just keeps electing him and putting him in important positions.
