There was a post right here on this site in December 09 that Meyer was having spasms because Saban put his foot so far up Meyer’s ass that Saban’s toe touched his esophagus..

 

Meyer was in bad shape when he left. Addicted to uppers and downers, and being crushed by the weight of the world he’d entered.

 

Agree with everything about Urban and Saban. If only the damn Dolphins had signed Drew Brees instead of Dante Culpepper, Saban stays with Miami for a few years and maybe never enters the SEC. Sad how things turn out based on one decision.

 

He also went on to win another National Championship, kicked asses at OSU and beat Saban on the way to the championship at OSU. He may have fled the SEC but the guy put a great product on the field every week after he left.

 

Spurrier was 5-8-1 against FSU and 0-1 against Miami. What Saban built was like the best FSU and Miami teams every year. Spurrier would have had a lot of problems with Saban. LSU under Miles was basically the same level as Bowden at FSU and he was a clear notch below Saban.

 

Or if Spurrier had a generational quarterback at Washington

 

I went to the UF-LSU game in Red Stick in 2001. Spurrier abused them in the first half and then shut it down. We were humiliating them. After the game we were listening to the LSU call in show and you should have heard this fans. They were ready to run Saban out of town that night. Little did they know!!

 

I guess by the end of that year the fans had changed their tune.

 

I’m sure they had their fair share that complained throughout his entire tenure, just like we had fans that complained throughout the Spurrier and Meyer eras. Some folks are just gonna complain no matter what.

 

Every coach except Kirby (and only recently) has had a lot of problems with Saban at Alabama.

 

Meyer was 2-2 against Saban. Beat Saban's team for two national championships.

But given your advanced state of geriatic and cognitive decline, I am not surprised you don't know this, nor I am not surprised when you don't realize a foot is up your ass.

 

I agree with what you’re saying, but what does age have to do with it? Us old guys actually have the best perspective on our program because we’ve seen more over a longer period of time

 

Take you face out of Meyer’s lap and check Spurrier’s record against Saban. While your at it you could go to Saban’s for Thanksgiving and ask him who he would prefer to coach against.

 

Imagine if SOS went to LSU, Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, etc... instead of South Carolina. He would have terrorized everyone.

SOS was 3-1 against Saban and beat him with South Carolina players too.
