I said we would be up and down until we get enough lumps that we will work together and fight harder, a lot of people say until we jell. Well tonight was the first lump. Probably over confident, players and coaches, even fans. We can do better and we will. CTG has to figure things out and who is going to fight (be physical)and be all in (team working together). Hopefully this was a learning experience. It hurts and it should.

 

I guess the surprise to me is for the second game in a row the defense gave up a ton of points to a team they shouldn’t be giving up a ton of points to.

 

An embarrassing loss in the “preseason” isn’t a horrible thing. It makes the players more coachable and playing a little angry isn’t a bad thing.

If I may assist, how does whining help? Are you really intimating that Mike just needed a few more years to get the program up and running? If you are more interested in the old "why can't we win them all like Kentucky does?" take, well then go and root for Cal. We don't do that (ie, Kentucky basketball). And to the "state-of-the-union" regarding major college basketball, I believe there was a real reason why Donovan is in the NBA: recruiting to the level he wanted to recruit has gotten TOO slimy. And so, you have to pick your poison. UF has decided to do what it can while remaining as "slimeless" as possible. And that means a Golden and not a, lets say Rick Barnes. Um, exactly WHAT has he won that has you "Jonesing" for him? OR...what has Cal done that has met Kentucky's standard of excellence if it did not rely during one season on a blend of transcendent and excellent freshman talent and a couple of loyal upper-level players who kept it together while the freshmen got MUCH better?

So, no one will "ban" you for your tantrums. But really, shouldn't you ban yourself? Again, how does it help? Or should I say, how does it help if you want to help?

Horrific? We lost by 2 and were down late. I like the fight in this team. FAU made a lot of 3's tonight and the refs were letting them get away with fouls against us all second half. It kept the game close and eventually too far of a run to come back from. We still have tons of games to play and we can put this one in the rear view mirror. Sometimes it takes being humbled to realize how much you need to work.

 

I don't even know where to start. Lucky for @OldAtlG8tor I wasn't available last night.

Hyperbole after a loss serves no purpose . . . but we're leaving it up as an opportunity for Gators to respond.
