This is a terrific article on the metrics used currently on the team sheets. Doesn’t break down the other more subjective criteria, or even things like win quality, but it’s a pretty good window into some of the more public tools that they do use. As NCAA Tournament bracket nears, March Madness metrics debate rages
I think we are done with all the metrics. Rarely do Sunday games change much of the seedings and all 6 teams playing are firmly in the tournament So here is how I see it. A number of intriguing elite eight matchups if all advance. East- Duke, Alabama South-Auburn, Michigan State Midwest: Houston, Tennessee West: Florida, St Johns

It doesn't matter. There are people out there who are bound and determined not to put UF as a one seed. Who fkin hell is Jerry Palm? This guy is still pitching Uteeth will be the #1 seed if they beat UF. UF falls to 2 seed in his scénario. Him and Lunardi wore the same dress.
If Florida wins they will be 9-1 vs ranked teams and would have beaten two number 1 teams. 5 of those wins against top 10 teams. How can they not be the overall number 1 team?
Florida passes the most important metric, the eyeball test! Playing all these 1&2 seeds, and winning is all the committee needs to see. We should get #1 overall, not Auburn.
The eyeball test is great if you can figure out whose eyeballs are the ones seeing clearly. Auburn’s and Duke’s fans probably think their own teams look pretty good. In the end, it doesn’t matter what is your seed. If you win six games, you are the NCAA champ. Let’s do this.
