The perfect commercial is a black guy with a Asian wife, and two kids that one looks white and the other hispanic.
And someone who seems vaguely like a 70s TV detective and a large bird are using carrots to teach the family about crooked penises while telling them that HIV medications might make them undetectable but are not a substitute for birth control.
Thanks to modern nonsense, these guys are all gay, too. Men couldn't possibly enjoy hanging out together without women around unless they're bending over for each other.
You're missing out on taking your friendships to the next level. You're sitting around talking about sports and lifting, when you could be doing Sacred Band of Thebes stuff, from back when men were men.
History has proven that you cant defeat the Spartans in battle unless you are fighting side by side with your male lover.
These people on Madison avenue... I have to thank them. I now buy and eat organic foods because they are not yet that commercialized... And I don't really trust commercials anyway. I research and I buy what I find to be good and healthy... same with all other kinds of non-food products. I ignore their, often, child-targeted commercials.
What seems odd to me, if you google Dupuytrens Contracture it will tell you Dupuytrens is very rare in the black community. It is basically a disease of Scandinavian ancestry. But there is a black guy in the commercial about it.
Some White folks have been complaining about the number of minorities and interracial couples in commercials, tv and movies for years. Some think it's PC and some others don't like race mixing generally. The number of interracial couples may be unrepresentative. I don't know statistically. But it wouldn't be surprising if the pendulum has swung the other way after so much time when diversity was rarely if ever shown. It does seem like the dads/fathers are often made to look incompetent, but as others have noted, they're often normal looking dudes with very hot wives, which is interesting. And again, it's not that surprising to see women portrayed as wearing the pants in the family after so many years where they were often portrayed in the opposite light. It's really funny to go back and look at some 1950's and 1960's ads and see how the woman in the relationship was portrayed then.
My favorite white guy commercial actor: Jamie, from Progressive Insurance. He is about the best rendition of a supporting comedic actor I have seen since the heydays of David Alan Grier. Honorable Mention: Dr. Rick from Progressive and Up and coming WG (still Progressive): Jon Hamm. He is quite good.
