Ehh . . . black bears. We get em in our back yard & hike everywhere in the region. Sometimes carry a hiking pole. Sure, they can be dangerous, but mostly to dogs.

LMAO at the OP......you guys question some of the right wing sites some posters get their stories from. I looked into the OP's source for his 2nd video. Do you think he could find a more anti police site? It is pretty obvious the guy who runs this youtube channel has an axe to grind against law enforcement.

The guy in narrating that video I posted is a former police officer. He was giving his commentary about the police report written up by the officers on scene. I don't see what the problem is.

I guess a former officer highlighting irregularities in the police report written by other officers on what this thread is about is anti-police. Lolwut.

Your post reads like you had a real "now I've got em" moment. I've seen a few of the James Madison Audits videos in the past. I don't follow it. If you want to see the ones I actually do follow and watch most of their content, I'd suggest:

    https://youtube.com/c/AuditTheAudit

    https://youtube.com/c/LackLusterMedia

In fact, here's a video from Audit the Audit that was posted just yesterday. A cop with hurt feeling stops a teenager who gave him the finger. That is a 1st Amendment covered activity. So no contact was needed. So after stopping and making contact, he grabs the kid and turns off his bodycam. Turning your bodycam in that situation illegal in that state. For some reason, backup is called. The video includes legal takes and I'd listen your opinion on it. Why can't cops leave people who aren't breaking the law alone? I mean, this kid appears to have a better understanding of both the 1st and the 4th amendments than the officers.

And also, honest question, if a channel only hosted content that featured civil rights lawsuits that were won by members of the public against police officers, and news reports of police officers being disciplined, would that channel be anti-police? And do you think it's important for the general public to know the conduct of their law enforcement officers, who in the case of Sheriff's offices, report to an elected official?

I saw that. As much as he likes to hear himself talk, props to Grady for informing the public.

I agree on the extremes. It's a special type of dissonance for those folks. But for a larger group of the new right there's less contorting and just this basic paradox that they appear to simply ignore.

We aren't the only ones who see this, apparently.

As someone who practiced in Columbia County as a young pup lawyer, all Columbia County Officers are bad.

Columbia County juries were awesome though. Went 11-1 up there.

My favorite one was a DUI where my client was slathered in cologne and driving a friends Camaro. He was pulled over for swerving but he claimed it was just him gunning the engine to have fun in the car. I asked him on the stand why he had borrowed his friends car for the first time that night and he said "I was going out with a fast woman, I needed a fast car.". He had this really thick country accent, even for Columbia County, and the jury just died laughing. Jury acquitted him (The case was terrible for the state so I don't think that's why they acquitted him but it helped).

I liked juries there - it was impossible to seat a jury without several people who were either related to police officers or prison guards out there, which would seem like a disadvantage. But it turned out to be an advantage because those people realized that police officers could be F ups just like the rest of us.
