I can’t stand Deion because I can’t stand “me first” people. But his schtick is working for now. Kids love that arrogance in a coach (unless you are on the receiving end of it) and it helps recruiting. Deion and his glamor is all on the outside, getting all the attention. But in the background he seems to know what he is doing. It’s his job to get kids to sign on. But he hires the right help to coach it. Not a bad setup. He reminds me of Wd Orgeron.
I have not seen Cormani on the field yet. Probably because Travis Hunter is playing every position, every down.
For all of our Fanbase…. prime and the boys might not win, but I can say this about Coach Prime his emotion throughout shows his investment. From our own coaches, we need to see more emotion. Doesn’t guarantee anything but to me kids take on the identity of their HBC. Concerning if overly calm and getting worked like we have the last two years. Sometimes gotta be the motivator or starter!!!
His Schtick is working because it’s real. I’ve been around Billy up close and personal several times and he is an excellent excellent person, but it feels like he runs more of a business model and, kids will not respond to that unless you win immediately. Kids are going to want to play for Coach Prime because he is a major motivator. He also has surrounded himself with very very good coaches the more I watch others do great things the more I get concerned as an example what TCU did last year it will be monumental for their program, and they may never do it again the mere fact that Coach Prime is keeping his team in the game against a team that was a 20 point favorite is extremely impressive.
Doesnt matter the score, Im rooting for the Frogs. That said, Sanders' son is a very good QB. Have to wonder how good they will be once he is gone. I think he is a senior. Colorado 31-28 late third.
My sister is a CU grad and a long suffering fan..I was so happy they got Deion hoping for this to happen for their program. So fun to watch Go Buffs!!!
With the style of football they play and if they have success this year, my guess is that CU recruiting and transfers in will be very good.
I don't understand. Colorado is a TOTAL REBUILD. They haven't been good in years. They haven't recruited well. They turned over most of their players and all of their staff. This group hasn't played together at all The head coach is in his first year, at a first tier conference school, and this is the first game. By some person's logic and expectations, it should take him three or more years to have his team playing this well. This shouldn't be happening. I wonder how we can apply this lesson to our situation at Florida.
Both teams are ballin'! Colorado is for real, TCU is as well. Great up-tempo game. That Colorado QB is great. Napier should be watching this game. Finesse, fast paced. Everybody can move... Go Gators.
I have been looking forward to this game since Deion took over. What he has done by getting rid of almost every player is really unprecedented. If this works and he is successful, it will become commonplace as coaches change. The transfer portal and NIL is enabling all of this. Having said all this it still comes back to coaching chops. It looks to me like this team is playing pretty well, disciplined and I wish we looked like that the other night with a second year coach, not the mess web-repeated a long off season for. Keep an eye on this game and season. If Deion is successful here as he was at other schools, we could very well be playing against him or maybe even be after him as a coach. It’s clear he treats it like a business which it has become.
Yep, that would be the hope if youre a fan. If that happens and they win, my guess is that Deon leverages up to a better gig. I like Colorado, but they arent great football fans.
