Prime Time shaved off his beard. I guess that means he has to make another batch of commercials.

I'm sure Oke would be so restrained as he us right now in this thread had it been florida that got abused on the field last night instead of Colorado. That was an a$$ whooping in every phase of the game.

It has nothing to do with Colorado. It's all about Deion. The media loves colorful characters who rock the bling and talk trash. Sanders is quotable, brash and self-absorbed. What would you expect from someone who self-proclaimed Himself as Primetime, or Coach Prime? As a player, he was referred to as Neon Deion due to his insatiable lust for the bright lights and the cameras with the red lights on. He's nothing more than a hot dog taking care of himself and his sons. Let's see where he ends up after the season ends. I doubt he remains in Colorado, as the Buffs fade back into oblivious banality...

Did Colorado join the ACC prior to their bowl game?

When he's transparent about it I'm not even bothered by it. I don't hate Deion but I certainly don't like him or his persona throughout his career. He is what he is.

What I loathe about the whole recent media and fan adulation is the abandonment of the initial narrative regarding HBCUs. He went from championing HBCUs on 60 minutes to pilfering their roster along with him enroute to Colorado less than a year later.

Not my call to make but leaving so soon after claiming his message rings pretty hollow in my opinion. The national media changed the narrative and continued the hype along the way.

Deion needs to emphasize a run game this offseason and next season. That has been their Achilles heel on offense since he arrived in Boulder. BYU was able to put 3 men on the line and drop everybody else back, which neutralized Sanders passing.

That said, it's hard to argue with the results he's had so far at CU. They were picked to finish 11th in the Big 12 this year. To come from where they've come from in such a short time, it's hard to deny what Deion can do as a head coach at the collegiate level. Also, both their high school and portal rankings for 2025 are far better at this stage than they were last year and the year before.

CU laid an egg last night, but it's hard to question their momentum. Everybody wrote Deion off after winning only 4 games last season, because of the way they finished the season with loss after loss. I wouldn't write them off because of a bad bowl showing.

Which brings me to a final point... what CU did with the insurance policies, breaking an NCAA record for the amount of coverage for the players made the bowl game worth watching in of itself. BYU also played their starters and the atmosphere at the Alamodome for a non-CFP bowl game was pretty incredible. Hate Deion all you want, but the insurance policy to cover players will play huge in recruiting. He doesn't take a day off. 9-4 finish for CU, tying for 1st place in the Big 12 (after being picked to finish 11th). They were 1-11 in 2022.

If not for all of those turnovers, they might have been beaten worse than FSU last year

Its all about dion. Some people like brash and arrogant and others like humility. Theres a reason Big Dez is so well liked by players and fans alike. You never see teammates react in support like Dez gets. Teammates are genuinely elated for Dez.

BYU is a decent team. Colorado is not. I wonder who would win between them and Indiana.

They were absolutely manhandled in every phase of the game. Sure their oline is complete trash, you are correct there, but their front seven was equally trash. BYU is your run of the mill ranked team and the two teams are on a completely different level. They've only ever looked decent playing very bad teams.

I am not absolutely sure, but it seems as if Deion blew his plan. IMO, what he wanted to do was to parlay this season into an upper-echelon program and pay. Now he is heading for Norvell Territory.

Norvell did much better before he got the job at fsu. Hes actally had bigger wins at fsu than dion has had at Colorado. Norvell and fsu have a handful of wins that are fairly legit. Dion has never beat a good team in his career.

When we beat the expectations it’s “I’ll never settle for mediocracy”. When it’s Colorado, “we should admire Prime time.”

    Loud and clear homie

Gee, can't imagine why I'd hold different standards for my Gators than I do for Colorado. Gator fans that are okay with 4.5 win expectations... loud and clear homie, indeed.

Nah, that’s just being a hypocrite no matter how you try to slice it. You admire Colorado because you love Dieon, you loathe the Gators because you hate Napier.

It could be worse. I could be giving millions of dollars to the program for the express purpose of firing Napier. Imagine if I loathed the Gators as much as many of the bull gators do.

And yet they ended up not doing so…
